I have gone for my mammiogram at this oak bend for several years. Always found staff very personable and helpful.It is very uncomfortable being squashed into position and I appreciate their sensitivity.
My wife fell recently and is 78 years old. she broke her right arm pretty bad. I found this place on the internet and lo and behold it is an old facility, not at all like the pictures. I was so sorry I picked them but the staff was terrfic. I am now, after 2 weeks,very glad I took her there, even though it was a 1 hour round trip daily.
My daughter and I always come here for emergency care when it's needed. The doctors and nurses are always amazing and wait times are mostly short- it's a hospital, after all. Some test results take time to process. Recently, my best friend and roommate became very ill. We came here first because it was the only hospital that took his insurance. They were very fast at starting testing and diagnosing the issue. It was a weekend, so admissions people were not there. The doctor found a way to get him admitted and start care that same day- within a few hours. After a few days and several imaging tests, the surgeon found he could not do the surgery my friend needed. So the case manager jumped on it right away, sifting through the numerous lists the insirance plan gave him. I'm not going to get into this insurance plan's foolishness and stalling, but they found a facility that could do the surgery and take his insurance as well. It was a long road we are still on to recovery and we are both very grateful to Oak Bend doctors, nursing staff, and administration for all their hard work. I never could have sorted through that paperwork on my own and my friend would not be on the road to recovery without the care he received here. Thank you all so very much!
