“These days, it can often be a gamble when you hire a company you have never worked with to do repairs on your home. We got bids from several different foundation companies, all of which sounded good. Prices varied somewhat as well as the type of piers recommended. We got the best impression from Metro-Tex after Steve Sutherland came over and did measurements. We liked that as owner of the company he was very hands on, which turned out to be the case as he came out by himself to clear holly bushes in the front flower bed so his crew could start working right away once they arrived to do the work. After the job was completed, he came back and helped me take down two crepe myrtle trees which he said might be a problem down the road. Steve takes great pride in his work and will do whatever it takes to get the job done right. Should we ever need any more work done, we will certainly use Metro-Tex.“

“My husband and I recently remodeled our kitchen with the team Rhett and Gaspar from Alair Homes.

At our first meeting, we walked through the current kitchen layout; they asked lots of exploratory questions about our likes and dislikes, our priorities and how we used that space. They took thorough notes, along with measurements of the kitchen and the adjacent areas. Their attention to detail was outstanding.

We asked for two plans: one basically cosmetic plan that worked within our budget, and a second plan that involved an extensive a remodel that utilized the space much more efficiently but would also suit our needs for the long haul. Option 2 won out.

The team was wonderful during the planning and design process and we selected them to move forward with the renovation. In the process, we demolished a pantry room, powder room, laundry room and large mud room to make way for the new kitchen.

Gaspar mapped out and obtained the required city approvals and secured contractors to install necessary support beams in both the attic and under the house, air conditioning moved, entryways reworked. Wood flooring was laid, next the cabinets, painting, lighting and appliances were approved and installed. When we encountered unanticipated issues or delays, Gaspar and Rhett were quick to inform us so we could resolve impediments quickly and move forward together, as a team. We always felt heard and understood throughout the process.

Now, we have a beautiful kitchen that has truly become the family’s favorite room in the house. We are so glad to have found these partners. We couldn’t be happier with the result. 10/10 would recommend to anyone thinking of updating their home!“
