Dr.Carver is a great doctor , and your pets are in good hands with Dr.Carver, if you have alot a time on your hands. I have been trying to get my dog in for his shots. I drove 35 minutes to get to get here, just to walk in and see a waiting room full of people/ animals and to be told I would have to wait over 2hours. We have had two reschedule 3 x now due to emergencys at the clinic. Not everyone has time to keep rescheduling due to our work schedules. I am so very disappointed with Humane animal hospital, and hope they will do better in the future for our babies.

Terrible experience don’t recommend. I waited more than a week to get my parrot look at . My appointment was at 12:30 pm , I had staff coming in saying Dr carver in surgery “10 more minutes every 20 minutes they came in . Then one guy said Dr in traffic which was around 2pm . I left . I run a small practice in Murphy and that’s not how a Facility should operate 10-30 minutes delay ok it’s understandable but 2 hours , Absolutely not

Five stars doesn't begin to be enough.
On May 24, my 12-year-old dog, Kozzy—a gentle, docile soul—was attacked by a German Shepherd while we were out on a walk. The dog bit deeply into his face, causing severe injuries.
We initially took him to an urgent care veterinarian, where his wounds were stitched, but infection quickly set in. From there, we were referred to a specialist emergency hospital in Prosper, where Kozzy stayed for several nights. He stopped eating, became increasingly miserable, and underwent multiple procedures to remove dead and infected tissue.
Around June 1, after four or five days of treatment, we received devastating news. We were told that Kozzy's prognosis was poor, that skin grafts would likely be necessary, and that there was no guarantee they would succeed. By that point, he even had a feeding tube. We were heartbroken and had already spent more than $10,000 trying to save him.
That evening, in a state of desperation, I searched online for soft tissue surgeons for dogs and found Humane Animal Medical & Surgical Hospital. Although it was already 7:30 PM, I called expecting to leave a voicemail. To my surprise, Kim answered. She was compassionate, caring, and genuinely concerned. She encouraged me to bring Kozzy in the very next day and told me, “Dr. Carver is amazing. If anyone can help your dog, it's him.”
The next morning, my husband and I picked up Kozzy and brought him to see Dr. Carver. Before even examining him, Dr. Carver sat down with Kozzy, offered him wet dog food and even part of his own hamburger patty, and simply spent time talking to him. Kozzy is usually fearful and timid around people, but he immediately responded to Dr. Carver. Watching that instant connection brought us tremendous comfort.
Throughout his stay, Kozzy was kept in a full patient room, not a kennel. Kim made sure staff members checked on him multiple times each day, and we were welcomed to visit him daily. We brought homemade food and his favorite bed to keep him comfortable, and the entire staff treated him with genuine love and care.
Dr. Carver then performed a complex surgery to repair Kozzy's wounds. It was a lengthy procedure that took several hours, but he successfully reconstructed the damaged areas. Afterward, I was able to spend time with Kozzy, comforting him as he recovered. Dr. Carver also placed him in an oxygen enclosure overnight to help support the healing process.
Kozzy remained at the hospital for seven days. Today, he has a few scars and a slightly crooked smile, but he is alive, healing, and happy—and for that, we are beyond grateful.
The difference between this clinic and our previous experience was extraordinary. Dr. Carver, Kim, and the entire staff demonstrated not only exceptional medical expertise but also genuine compassion, warmth, and constant communication. They gave Kozzy a second chance when we feared all hope was lost.
I only wish we had found them from the very beginning.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Dr. Carver, Kim, the entire staff, and even Zoey, the lobby cockatoo. You will forever be our heroes.

Dr. Carver is an exceptional Veterinarian ❤β🩹 We took our 3yr old Marvel in for the best of care that could be provided for hip cancer diagnosed at another clinic. Humane is much more caring, experienced & affordable 😉 I will be posting post amputation surgery comments soon. We adopted our smart, sweet yet very lively Shepherd/Siberian Husky beauty from the COR shelter Oct '25. Poor baby started limping & a lump on her hip appeared. Unfortunately it wasn't ACL, as our previous Husky Akita had two of. She loved us & lived happy 14yrs. Poor Marvel was diagnosed with bone cancer🫣 Now we have found the best clinic & awesome Dr to allow her a couple of happy pain free yrs.

Humane Animal Hospital in Plano was amazing. They took great care of my puppy after he was hit by a car and had a broken femur. Dr. Carver, Kim, and the staff are the best; compassionate, attentive, and truly care about animals. Pricing was very reasonable too. Highly recommend!

My family and I have been going to Dr. Carver since 1995. You will NOT find a vet that cares more than him. I will put my life on that! I have a Sheepadoodle that has been a frequent flyer for eating things he shouldnβt. He has opened his clinic to me after hours and will do surgeries into the night to save my dog. He called me at 11pm multiple times to update me on surgeries and that my fur baby is doing fine. When he walks in the exam room, he LOVES on your animal. Miss Kim at the front runs the show and she is so great at it! You may wait longer than you want to sometimes but that is because if someone comes in with their pet and itβs life or deathβ¦ heβs saving them! You will not find a more caring, loving and dedicated animal hospital.
