My mom is there now. Bedside manner is lacking, especially one particular nurse. There were 2 occasions that I know of where she saw the doctor virtually via tablet. She didn’t get offered a bath/shower until we mentioned that she needed one 4 days after admission. It took my brother calling to be sure it happened. I wish Dr. Pulvino was still here.
I was amazed at the care I received in such a small town ER. I'm terrible with names, but not one person on Sunday, October 6th, night shift ignored my issues and went out of their way to ensure my comfort and care. I thank you, one and all, God bless you, I thought I was dying.
My Mother was recently a patient at Palacios Community Medical Center. She had surgery at a different Hospital and needed Skilled Level Care to help her get back on her feet. She is 92 and was affected in a bad way by the anesthesia. Truthfully, it did not look good and we were concerned about her recovery. We were also concerned that we were not familiar with the Palacios Hospital’s Swing Bed Program or what kind of care she might receive there.Unfortunately after 2 weeks she was still in a bad way and could not get out of bed.
