I’m new to the area and was skeptical about many of the vets around town but luckily I came across 8th street. So far I’ve had nothing but great experiences. All 3 of my cats come here and I truly believe they are in good hands. From what I’ve seen, intentions are good, people are kind, and prices are great. I’d recommend! Sometimes they can be a little backed up, so maybe bring a book when you come in, but other than that 5 stars.

Dr. Wade and his staff are amazing! I had a stray kitten on my porch with what could have been a contagious skin condition to my other pets. He prescribed a low-cost solution that required daily applications and a one to two week check ups. After not seeing improvement, he recommended a biopsy that resulted in the cat having skin allergies. We discussed options to test for specific allergens that might trigger her responses however I was informed that the cost to pinpoint her allergy or allergies would be rather high. I am a single mother and at the time cost was a concern. She currently takes a daily supplement to suppress the reactions and provide her comfort so she is much more sociable. I have considered researching further into what is triggering her allergic reactions and will discuss them with Dr. Wade when the time is right. I appreciate his honesty and someone being upfront with me about the path I could have followed about treatment options and associated costs rather than drag out the inevitable, as other veterinarians might do. Ask questions! He will answer them. I have taken all my pets cats and dogs to Dr. Wade for treatment and yearly vaccinations, and I highly recommend him.

The women there are absolutely lovely, I appreciate all the women who work there because they’re compassionate and optimistic but the male veterinarian or owner I guess is a total jerk. He never treated my kittens with care and was always rough and aggressive with them, he did a fecal exam with my youngest who was three months and jammed the tool in her and she screamed in pain and he had the audacity to say “they don’t feel anything” like are you just an idiot or hate cats because clearly every animal feels pain. Not to mention he gives creep vibes because he stared at my chest for a while and when my boyfriend and I gave him a weird look he just tried to brush it off as reading my shirt even though it just said a brand name rather than something funny or anything. He’s always in a rush and sarcastic and rude, as much as I love the women there he’s a total creep and jerk so anyone who has a cat or especially women who have cats do not go here! For the sake of your kittens and cats do not let this man handle your pets.
