“Let me start by saying this is my first experience at Andy’s and spoiler- I will be back! I have gone to other tailors in the area. Some good and some bad, so I’ve had my fair share of experiences on quality and pricing in the area. Yesterday I picked up several pieces from Andy’s that I had tailored. I needed to have dresses altered, pants altered, two zippers replaced, and a skirt that I thought would be a simple taken, but ultimately was fully reconstructed into a new skirt. This would give me an idea on craftsmanship and pricing. Starting with zippers- great job. Pants- one is fabric pair= they did a lovely job; you’d never know they were altered. The other pair leather= same, lovely job (I may take them back in for a bit more of a snug fit). Dresses= all altered to perfectly! They do not do a “half way job”, they take the dress in, so it curves perfectly to your body. I had linen, cotton, tweed, and leather dresses altered- all fantastic work done. Lastly, the below the knee, leather pencil skirt. I was nervous when I saw the skirt was not a simple cinch at the waist fix, but rather a total reconstruction. But all I can say is WOW they did a phenomenal job! It is a total bespoke look:)
As far as those wondering about pricing: Are they the cheapest? No. However, their prices are competitive with those in the area. They do not over charge. Also, I will say keep in mind you get what you pay for. If you want quality, you will have to pay a bit more, as tailoring is a craft. If we could all do it, we wouldn’t be looking at reviews, trying to find the best tailor in the area ;)
I also want to give a shout out to the staff; their team is absolutely the sweetest! From coming to your car to help you bring items in, to ensure you’re comfortable in the dressing room, to walking you through pricing so you know what you’re paying for, explaining the timing and the process of everything, and their demeanor overall- you can tell they have a great work culture at Andy’s! Last but not least, Michelle, she was the expert that insured my items were tailored to perfection- she is amazing! Not to mention she is the sweetest! I will be back just to see Michelle… and have her work more magic on my items! Thanks, Andy’s, for a great experience! (This may be the longest review I’ve ever written!)”
