The Texas Academy of Karate in New Braunfels is the best karate school in Texas and probably the US.
Kwan Jang Nim Brett Riley is the most dedicated instructor and dojang owner ever! He is always in a great mood and smiling and happy to see everyone. It is so clear that he loves the art, the school, and all the students! He is an amazing teacher and works with kids like no other teacher I have ever seen! His son, Master Marcus Riley, is also an amazing martial artist and teacher!

We have been training here for several years now, and it’s something we consider a permanent part of our lives and schedule things around our karate classes, and try not to miss a day. It’s that amazing of a place! It’s a family really, a way of life! All the families and kids who attends are wonderful and we have made life long friends here. All the instructors are great, and not only at teaching karate, but life teachings in general. Master Riley still amazes me after all this time. A great place for the entire family! We have trained here for a few years now. Master Riley is a great teacher! Not only is this karate skills, but also self-defense, life skills, and character building.
