Austin was professional and took the time to answer my questions and explain what he was doing. When he located the problem he explained how the leak happened as well as the fix.

I couldn’t be more impressed with New Braunfels Plumbing and Drain! From start to finish, their team was the epitome of professionalism and friendliness. They arrived right on time, ready to get to work, and were respectful of my home throughout the entire installation process.

They installed a new water softener and filtration system, and the craftsmanship was absolutely superb—everything was done neatly, efficiently, and with clear attention to detail. They took the time to explain how the system works and answered all my questions without hesitation.

It’s rare to find a company that combines such high-quality work with genuine customer care. I highly recommend New Braunfels Plumbing and Drain to anyone looking for reliable and top-notch plumbing service!

Jacob came by first thing in the morning. He showed up exactly when he said he would. He identified our issue based on some hunches we had. He taught us a few things and gave us some tips. Very happy with his service. We will use him again for any future plumbing issues!

The Texas Plumbing board reached a decision based on this complaint and fined this plumber pictures are in the google review. I fully intend to retain counsel in retrieving my expenses in this matter for the original cost, plus the additional expenses incurred. I reached out to New Braunfels Plumbing and Drain via Facebook Messenger to get an estimate on repairs home we own in San Antonio. Jason was the "master plumber" that provided a quote of $1200 to install a pressure-reducing valve, clean the calcium in the shower valve, and replace the cartridge I had already replaced, which seemed excessive. I reluctantly agreed as I had a full schedule of my own, and he went to retrieve the parts. A short time later, he called and said he didn't know if the prv would hold and not leak and that it would need a waterline from the meter to the house replaced with pex and wanted $800 more to do that around 12ft maybe, at this point I declined the water line replacement as it would not change what is going into the house only from meter to the house, and he said he would go ahead and try to " make it work", after 20-30 minutes he called and stated that it is leaking like crazy and would not work, and I said ok so the waterline might be the best option now right and it would be $800 or $2000 total correct, immediately it was now $200 more dollars or $2200 total, and this is when things took a turn for the worse. Northam got mad when I questioned the extra amount and the overall bill. He stated he had to buy more parts and also time, (in my opinion, that should have been included in the initial $1200 estimate) then went on about how I don't value his time/worth and that he would be there until 10 pm if he had to dig up the water line. He stated he put on 2 hose clamps on each end and it didn't change anything it was still leaking and he used irrigation parts in an attempt to complete the repair. I had an uneasy feeling about what had been done and his incompetence as a plumber. I stated I need you to STOP and I will figure it out, and he said he would write up the paperwork and get payment and I hung up. He called, and when I answered he said your daughter is refusing to sign and I am calling SAPD when I responded in a like manner and stated I own the home she doesn't, nor does she have the authority to sign, and only provide you with this forced payment so you will leave and stop making it worse, and feel free to call SAPD, and he did. The responding officer claimed it could be a theft of service, and most officers would simply state it's a civil matter which was odd that he claimed a criminal aspect as a call to his supervisor later confirmed he would have instructed his officer it was a civil matter. At this time I informed the cop that I would like the plumber and whoever was with him criminally trespassed off of the property, and he said he would, but I needed to resolve this issue first. I called the office made the payment, and SAPD trespassed the plumber and his helper. It was 100% forced payment by SAPD, and the plumber. When I got to the pressure valve I noticed almost immediately that the hose clamps he used were oversized I believe 1 5/8 inches and the pipe was only 1 inch on the outside diameter, meaning the larger hose clamp would never be fully able to clamp down the pipe on to the fitting. I removed his hose clamps and installed 1-inch hose clamps and the water leak went away also suspicious in wanting $1000 more with no actual repair being made even though it actually could have been repaired if done by a competent plumber. I had additional problems where the shower handle/faucet was taken apart and left in the tub, the home now had a pounding water hammer, and all of the aerators were clogged with the black material from the pipe being cut, and not reamed/flushed. This plumber does not have the competence to perform plumbing repairs on citizens' properties, nor any customer service skills needed in his chosen profession.

Jacob came out of a Sunday, brought out the big guns : - a real picote machine ( real powerful line cleaner) and a mega water jet ( gas powered trailer monster) - line camera, he worked diligently and methodically with the professional equipment - reasonably priced and problem solved ! Thanks again NBPD & Jacob ! PS: Don’t bother with the national chains like Roto Rooter or Mr. Rooter - they will charge you out of the gazoo with their mafioso internal referral system as well as leave you with collateral damage ”not my fault - that be another $325 please “ - no thanks : please support local biz - Jacob and NBPD gave one price done deal ! and NBPD has invested big bucks in premium equipment to do a fast and much better professional job. GOOD JOB ! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
