WellMed at McKinney South

Robin Dore and Dr. Lawrence are wonderful. Would love to stay with Robin even after Dr. Lawrence left but we decided to leave after Well Med took over (which we weren’t even notified of). Staff is rude when they do answer the phone and seem bothered to help. At that point I wasn’t even going to try to get new referrals for specialists that we already had.

They stated it can take about a month to transfer medical records even though it’s for continuation of care. When Dr Lawrence and Lauren were still here, the care was exceptional.(5 stars!) Since Well Med has taken over, sadly, we, as patients, have been pushed aside as if we never existed. We couldn’t get refills on medicines, they don’t answer the phones, we got a letter about a week before the changes in ownership and care were made, and even though we were regularly seen, they expect a visit with a new provider whether it’s needed or not. They have our records on file. We were immediately unable to use the portal. So, 5 stars for Dr Lawrence and Lauren. Otherwise, find a different facility. Well Med= 1 star

Save yourself the trouble. Do not visit this location or any WellMed location.

They are a horrible company and will not resolve any issues. They incorrectly billed my wellness visit as an office visit and I have tried for 4 months to resolve it without any luck. They do not answer the phone, they do not respond to messages on the portal (that is when the portal works at all).

I have been with this location of Healthcare Associates of Texas for a couple of years. It used to be okay but once WellMed took over last fall it has gone downhill. I will be looking for a new physician, I recommend you do the same.
