VA clinic in McAllen deserves a five star for the personnel that are so emphatic with the veterans that seek help there . I have been treated with compassion and professionalism all the time .

Since transferring from VA Hospital Audie L Murphy San Antonio TX. My experience at the McAllen VA clinic has been a overall change in my medical health treatment, scheduling and specialty referrals. In my opinion San Antonio VA Audie L Murphy is understandably over loaded, over worked and under staffed due to the overwhelming veterans exiting within and around the surrounding San Antonio areas. In Comparison to VA McAllen and surrounding valley coastal areas. My experience in waiting time for Dr. Appointments and specialty referrals appointments at the VA Audie L Murphy hospital took an average of several months to a year. I am a traveling Vet and this year a Winter Texan. I have to have an EKG and Blood work done every 6 nonths in March and September. This time March fell on McAllen OPC to perform.
From getting an Appointment to getting the EKG and Blood Test done was painless.
