Manor Baylor Scott and White clinic. I saw Dr Karen Smith primary care physician for my Medicare wellness checkup. She was very friendly, listened to my concerns, showed me medical research pertaining to my questions, and answered me without rushing me. Her nurse and all the staff was very welcoming.

Your computer software system needs a command prompt put in place that has a loop that contacts the insurance company for authorization and then follows up with the patient when authorization for referral or treatment from insurance has been granted, so appointments with followup and specialists can be made at time of granted authorization, and front desk doesn'thave to rely on note taking. Your system also requires an office appointment to be made with S&W specialists before Community Care by VA authorization request for service is sent in to the VA. If you do not put the S&W doctor name in the request the VA now shifts the visit to a doctor in VA outpatient in Austin. So; The patient comes to the original S&W appointment thinking authorization has been given, and cannot be seen at that time, because the VA does not require an appointment prior to authorization and your software system does not inform patient about authorizations. Also, there is no way to get to the Manor Clinic by phone to follow up with anything, and we must communicate only online, which is very inconvenient.

Dr. Karen Smith is a very thorough, knowledgeable doctor. She takes the time to answer all your questions and suggest tests to keep you healthy. I highly recommend her and the PA Jason.
