Apple Springs Family Dentistry

We love Apple Springs Dental!! Staff is always super friendly and efficient!! Dr Tay is fantastic and my teeth always feel so good after!! We have been clients since they opened and will be there as long as they are!! Highly recommend!!

My recent experience with Apple Springs Dentistry has been disappointing due to significant issues with their administrative processes and customer service, despite my appreciation for their dental work.

I had an appointment scheduled for myself and my daughter. The day before, I made two calls during business hours to confirm the appointment, but received no response. I should be receiving messages directly to my phone but they never arrived as well as emails. This lack of communication is consistent with past experiences, despite assurances that the problem had been addressed. We traveled 45 minutes from Taylor TX for this appointment, as we have always valued the quality of care provided by this dentistry. Upon arriving at the scheduled time, the receptionist, Amanda, informed us that our appointment had been canceled. No attempt was made to resolve the situation or accommodate us, especially given the distance we traveled. Instead, Amanda turned her attention to other patients and, regrettably, was observed laughing, which I found dismissive. A request to speak with the doctor was initially declined, but Amanda went to the back, presumably to speak with him. However, the doctor never came to address us, which felt like another significant oversight.

What’s worse is that Amanda has consistently displayed inconsiderate behavior during each visit, and I am growing tired of it. She needs to find a way to contain her biases and keep personal matters separate from her work. It is unforgivable to be rude and mean to patients who, quite literally, pay her to do her job. While I value the quality of dental work the unprofessional behavior of the staff, particularly Amanda, is unacceptable. Being ignored and treated disrespectfully, with no attempt to find a solution, is not something any patient should have to endure. It raises serious questions about their commitment to customer service and problem-solving. As a business that presumably prides itself on quality, the lack of empathy and assistance in resolving this situation was particularly disheartening. This situation has led me to reconsider my continued patronage of this dentistry. And should truly make you reconsider coming here. It’s nothing but bad service.

Staff everyone is always fantastic and a pleasure to visit with. Awesome practice, I highly recommend!

I've been going to Dr. Tay for quite a few years now. His office is quick, thorough and professional. Dr. Tay never prescribes services that are not necessary ... which was my experience, unfortunately, when I went to a dental office that was a chain. It is important to feel like you trust your dentist, and I have always trusted Dr. Tay's experience, professionalism and ethics.

The front desk, assistants, hygienists (shout out Gordon), and Dr. Tay made my 2 year olds appointment as seamless as possible! Great staff and great care!!

I went in asking only for a cleaning, but the dentist refused to do it unless I also agreed to X-rays. I told him I didn’t want a check-up, just the cleaning. He became upset, saying I’ve refused X-rays several times in the past, even though I had them done about a year and a half to two years ago when I actually wanted a check-up. I understand that sometimes X-rays are needed, but not every visit. With today’s technology they’re quick and simple, but it felt like this office pushes them mainly because that’s how they bill insurance.

To add to what other reviews mention: the actual work is done by the hygienist, while the dentist barely stops in to look at you. I was fine with that since I only came here every six months for a cleaning, but refusing me service altogether just because I declined unnecessary X-rays is unacceptable.

The office is clean and looks nice, but that doesn’t make up for the lack of respect for patient choice. I won’t be coming back and cannot recommend this practice. Don't let anyone force medical care on you is your choice don't be a sheep in the corrupted system. XOXO

I've been going to this office since Dr Tay just opened the office as a brand new dentist in Leander. Customer service used to be outstanding.
It has gone downhill over the few past years. I would see a different hygienist every time I went in there. High turnover front desk and back office staff. Also, I decided to go to an oral surgeon to have a tooth removed (emergency and severe pain)and apparently that was not okay to doctor Tay. I have not received one reminder for follow-up since then.
This office has gone downhill. I have taken my business elsewhere.

I visited Apple Springs Family Dentistry for the first time last month. The hygienist was FANTASTIC. I don't remember his name but he was the best hygienist I've ever encountered. Unfortunately, although the dentist seemed nice and all, I was disappointed by the amount of time he spent with me. It was extremely rushed - even the way he poked all my teeth with the pokey thing was as if he did it as fast as he possibly could - like it was a race. It felt like he was there for less than a minute. I've never had a dentist spend so little time with me.
Unfortunately, even though I really appreciate a good hygienist, I probably won't be back.

Always a great experience! Dr. Tay and his team work hard to make sure every patient is comfortable and relaxed during all procedures. I would recommend this place to anyone!
