Laredo VA Clinic has shown improvement since 2017/2018, with many patients reporting positive experiences. Most staff members are helpful and genuinely care about patients' well-being. Although there have been issues, such as with a new psychiatrist and the prosthetics team, the clinic's management has addressed concerns effectively. Patients appreciate not feeling rushed during appointments and are satisfied with the overall care received. Many express confidence in the clinic, describing their experiences as better than at other VA facilities.
The care at this Clinic has been excellent. The following medical staff have helped my husband so many times:
Dr Mangual has addressed all my husband's medical needs and his assistant Martin Gonzalez RN has also helped greatly with these needs. They both really care about their patients and have fantastic bedside manners.
Physical therapist Dr Aker is also exceptional. He always has a great, cheerful attitude and has helped my husband progress very well since his surgery.
It is such a relief to have some of the best care in Laredo and can't thank them enough for all they do.

The clinic is in a better place than it was in 2017/2018. The only provider I've had a problem with recently is the new psychiatrist. I submitted a lengthy complaint with the TVC health advocate, spoke to the MH team director, and she switched me to another psych.The prosthetics team out of Harlingen dropped the ball on my order. They should have provided the business that would give me my equipment payment but failed to do so for a month. I called the Washington Hotline after the patient advocate didn't answer my calls, and they immediately fixed it. I never had a problem since going to the VA in Laredo, Texas. All the staff I encountered were very helpful. This is not my first rodeo with the VA, but I'm satisfied with the care. Gold
