We have been looking for a nursing home for our son since the one he was in has had the quality of care decreasing for some time. Bluebonnet in Karnes City was recommended by someone who had their father there until he died. We went to tour the facility with David Sczepanik, who took us on a tour and we were very impressed with the cleanliness, home like atmosphere and general care of the residents. We had a previous history with David when he was the administrator of the home where our son was previously living. We toured on a Wednesday and transferred the following Monday. Our family member fell, with injuries requiring further rehab after hospitalization. We are very happy with care we are receiving at Bluebonnet. Building is clean. Residents appear well cared for. Staff is friendly,happy, and attentive, with a 'can do' attitude (including the administrator). Therapies (OT and PT) are impressive with their skills and attention to the residents.
Bluebonnet has definitely changed! Staff is amazing, Honored to be working for this facility! Started as a Hospitality Aide, received my CNA, and now a LVN. Decided to further my education for the residents here! No place i rather be working then here!
