Walker County Veterinary Center is a place where both animals and their owners feel welcomed and heard. Dr. John Nicholson is known for his patience, kindness, and attentiveness, taking the time to listen to the concerns of pet parents and explaining medical conditions clearly. The staff are described as friendly and knowledgeable, creating a comfortable environment for animals. In times of emergency, the veterinary center provides compassionate and thorough care, following up and providing support during difficult times. Customers highly recommend the center for its exceptional service and care, with one reviewer saying they would switch all their pets to Dr. Nicholson despite other vets being closer. The center's responsiveness and gentle handling of pets, even in difficult situations like euthanasia, have been praised by satisfied customers.
My regular vet clinic Well Pet Place (love them) referred me to a full service clinic. I brought my cat in to Walker county Veterinary Center with what I suspected was mastitis. The staff treated her kindly and were able to treat her at a reasonable price. They even called the day after to follow up with her 🩷.
Dr. Pinard and his entire staff were absolutely exceptional. Unfortunately, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to one of our sweet babies this morning. It was one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to go through, but every single person there treated us with such kindness, compassion, and respect throughout the entire process. They were gentle, soft-spoken, comforting, and truly understood what we were going through.
When you love your pets like family, losing them is devastating. Our cat, Saber Tooth, was absolutely family, and he is already so deeply missed.
I don’t leave reviews very often, but I felt it was important to share our experience.… read full review
I have brought my cat in to see both Dr. Pinard and Dr. Nicholson. Both doctors are amazing. They take the time to listen and explain things clearly, and I felt like regardless of who my cat saw we were in good hands. I cannot recommend their office enough.
