Animal Hospital of Humble

I have been going to Animal Hospital of Humble since 2008, and no matter where I live in the Houston area, I will always go there. All the vets and techs have always been so good to my dogs, I just love them!

So, the visit with the vet tech and the vet went well. My 14 year old dog had been sick with a lot of diarrhea and I had recently spent roughly $2500.00 in six weeks to figure out what she had. Meds, meds and MORE meds had turned my dog into a zombie with more exploding poop.
I gave up on the pills and added chicken breast to her food, along with treats which included apples, blueberries, watermelon, strawberries, pumpkin purée and occasionally, yams.
At her next visit we saw a different vet and agreed to treat my pet as a hospice patient.
During the checkout someone I’d never seen in the 15 years we’ve been visiting was working the checkout counter. She said I had a balance. It was for more pills, which I had told them I was done with giving her MORE pills. Especially ones that induced more diarrhea. She appeared highly annoyed. The doctor I had seen told them to remove the charge.
Aside from that, this visit was wonderful! My dog most likely has cancer (3 inoperable masses on her liver) but I’m not giving her anymore meds where no one in the house sleeps because we’re up every two hours taking her out, and more importantly, my poor dog can’t rest!!! She’s a great dog and I’m committed to giving her a happy life until her last days. Last month was the first time in a long time she played with her toys, ran up and down the stairs wagging her tail and barking at me to take her outside.
I’m thankful for this vet.

This is the ONLY place I bring my pets - for everything from hello to good-bye! They never do unnecessary procedures, their prices are fair, and they communicate with you every step of the way!

The staff is kid friendly, professional, efficient, and patient.

All those involved in the care of my cat—from check-in, vet, tech’s, and check-out—were remarkably kind and patient. Jesse, my cat, is very “spicy” (read mean and nasty) during vet trips. These folks cared about keeping her anxiety (and, mine) low and took things at her pace. So grateful for these wonderful folks!!!!

I honestly think they’re great people, but they want to charge you for everything. So be prepared to be charge a crazy amount. I don’t have this kind of problem in New York.
