“I’ve been getting waxed for 15+ years now (and no, I will not be disclosing my age ?). I’ve always gone to places that use hard wax, like European Wax Center, but as an Esthetician for the past 6 years, I’ve constantly heard about sugaring. So when I found out Ashlie offered sugaring AND was so close to me, I knew I had to give it a try!

Booking my appointment was super quick and easy. I received reminders and confirmations, which honestly helped so much. As for the sugaring itself, the pain level honestly wasn’t much different from hard wax — maybe even slightly less painful because of the direction the hair is removed. BUT when I tell you my skin afterward was a complete night-and-day difference compared to hard wax… I mean it. Normally, my skin breaks out in bumps every single time from the heat of hard wax, no matter what. With sugaring, my skin was only a little pink and tender afterward — no bumps, no irritation, no heat reaction. Since the sugar paste melts at your body temperature, it’s so much gentler on the skin. Even the regrowth has been less itchy, and the hair is growing back super fine!

If you’re a hard wax fan but have been curious about sugaring, Ashlie is absolutely the person to see. I’m officially converted! And if you’ve struggled with skin irritation from hard wax, seriously… give sugaring a try, y’all. ?
