About Today's Vision-Downtown
Today's Vision-Downtown provides excellent customer service, with a great front desk team and staff. Many patients have been loyal for years, finding the long drive totally worth it for the care. The doctor is highly recommended for being willing to spend however long it takes to ensure patients are happy with their contacts, working with them until everything is just right. The business also validates parking. However, some parents would not recommend this place for children, feeling the provider can rush through exams with them, not taking enough time to explain procedures or address concerns. Frame orders can sometimes take over two weeks to be ready.
I had gone to Dr. Chow for years while I worked downtown. After I retired I went to a closer location. It was “ok” but nothing special. This year I went back to Dr. Chow and although it was a long drive, it was totally worth it. Oh and they validate parking! Dr. Chow is always willing to spend however long it takes to make sure I am happy with my toric contacts. This year I had to try out different lenses multiple time because they discontinued the ones I was using. Dr. Chow worked with me until they were just right. I highly recommended Dr. Chow at Today’s Vision Downtown Houston!!
I have been coming here since 2004 when I worked downtown. Now I bring my entire family with me for exams. My children are 6 and 10 and I can say that I would not recommend for children. The doctor was not very patient and through with my 6 year old even though I told him it was his first real eye exam. I would have loved more care and interactions because he has been having issues with his vision, but the doctor never asked any questions about my concerns. He also didn't take time to explain to the process and procedures of what to expect during the exam. We had 4 appointments back to back, but we were herded through and finished way ahead of schedule, so I know he could have take more time with my son. He rushed through the "which is better" portion and I am hoping that the prescription my son needs is accurate because he didn't give him enough time to process and respond to the questions. I would not recommend this place for children as the provider is not well versed and patient enough with them. It also took over two weeks for our frames to be ready and I had to continue to check on the status of them.The front desk team and staff are great.
There was only one gentleman assisting me and another family. He was courteous and patient but it took sometime to get the help I needed because he was busy with the other people. Overall he was good but they didn’t have a wide range of lenses to choose from.
