About St. Joseph Medical Center
St. Joseph Medical Center is a downtown Houston hospital with a team of over 700 board-certified physicians and 1,500 dedicated employees. Patients and families praise the hospital's compassionate healthcare, citing the ICU staff's professionalism, courtesy, and attentiveness. Doctors and nurses are credited with saving lives, including a daughter's, after a previous clinic failed to diagnose her heart problem. The ER Doctors and Staff are thanked for their help, with nurses receiving special thanks for putting all their heart into patient care. The medical staff, doctors, nurses, and porters on the 5th floor are doing the best and amazing work. There are no words that sufficiently describe the experience, with a cesarean section being excellent in all areas, friendly staff, concerned and prepared, especially those in charge of care and attention to family and particularly nurses who were always looking out for the baby. The hospital is commended for its smooth operation process and high-quality medical care, earning it a 5-star rating from grateful patients.
Had to enter through ER to visit a patient brought in earlier. Rude, ER lobby had vagrants in and out. Staff was helpful when they thought we were family but they kept our church member in pain, gave her little help with pain while they reset her ankle and released her only to find out that she did indeed have a fracture and having been trying to navigate on it had only hurt it.

Our experience with this hospital’s labor and delivery staff has been very positive. In adoption-related cases, sensitivity, communication, and respect matter greatly, and this team has shown professionalism and compassion throughout the process.
Not everyone will have the same experiences but just be aware to make sure you leave with all your new borns documents and your ID after being registered because my ID was lost after I was registered and I was in labor so got distracted and didn't ask for it til after my discharge which was 3 days later and nobody could find it and then come to find out I wasn't given all my babies medical documents that was supposed to be given to me so pediatrician had to request documents from hospital. It's a decent hospital that does pay attention to there woman in labor and care just make sure to ask all the right questions and concerns.
