Olympic Karate & Sport Center - Shotokan is a martial arts dojo located in Meyerland, Houston. The center offers classes for both children and adults, catering to all skill levels from beginner to advanced. Sensei Alex Ndem, a Sixth Degree Black Belt and former member of the USA Shotokan National Karate Team, is the founder and lead instructor. With over 25 years of martial arts experience and a degree in physical education, Sensei Alex is a certified personal trainer and instructional master of Karate. The center's students can participate in local karate tournaments, and the adult classes feature a mix of new and returning Shotokan practitioners. The center also provides an after-school program with transportation from nearby schools, led by the personable and patient Ms. Mireille. Customers describe the environment as welcoming and the classes as both educational and enjoyable.
Good people here, the adult class has a mix of people new to Shotokan and those returning after a few years away. Sensei Alex has taught me physical and mental aspects of the sport which I'm still learning, I have developed in self discipline and strength....the classes are also fun! You will feel welcome here.
I’ve been training here for over a year now. Sensei Alex is an amazing instructor in both traditional karate and sports karate! I highly recommend him.
