Madison Reed Hair Color Bar Rice Village

I explained my issues with grays around my face. Not only did she completely ignore the areas, they stand out even worse now because my roots are darker than the rest of my hair, so she didn'tuse the rightmix of color. I've been going to MR for years, but at a different location and never had any issues. I will not return to this location. It was not just about the final product, it was also about the attitudes and vibe. I heard 3 other ladies complaining about issues while I was there as well.

I felt rushed, passed off and had a horrible blow out. I will probably not go back to the salon again. They acted like they did me a favor to do their jobs.

This was my first visit to the Madison Reed Rice Village location because I couldn’t get a same-day appointment at my usual Katy location. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.
The salon felt small, with very limited waiting space, and it wasn’t as clean or inviting as the Katy location. When I arrived, no one informed me that I needed to sign in. I sat waiting for about 10 minutes before realizing I probably needed to check in, but I couldn’t find any kiosk. After I got up and started looking, an employee finally asked if I had signed in and helped me.
The staff seemed tired and not very engaged, and I felt the stylists could benefit from better supervision and customer service training. The only bright spot was the lady who washed my hair—she was very friendly and kind.
To be fair, when I first started going to the Katy location, the staff there wasn’t very welcoming either. However, that location has improved tremendously, and now everyone is friendly, professional, and welcoming. I hope the Rice Village location can make similar improvements.

I went in for a root touchup /toner and blow out. Honestly, the services are always great. The blowout was amazing. The only thing that I don’t like is that they need to do a better job wiping off any hair dye that is left on your skin and ears. I feel that we pay enough for the services and that should be done correctly. Many times I don’t see the Hair color that is left still on my skin and by my earlobes because I wear glasses.

I used to go to the location in Sugarland but the last 2 times I went there the Mgr was rude and she left more color on my neck and behind my ears than on my hair. It took me 15 m I minutes to remove it. Saturday I went to the Rice Village location and wow what an awesome place and experience. The colorist was very thoughtful and thorough. Everyone was pleasant and they were very professional. The young lady who washed and rinsed my hair completely removed all of the color from my neck, ears and face! Plus she also blew out my hair. I am so happy to not quit my subscription. I hope if anyone is interested in getting their hair colored regularly without spending hundreds of dollars please check out Madison Reed at the Rice Village. Don't bother going to Sugarland location. Rice Village has free 2 hour parking in front and in the parking garage. The colorist were very quick and efficient. The atmosphere was great. And, Starbucks is next door!

Really love the quick in and out service and the simplicity of things at Madison Reed. With having to do my roots every two weeks this is an amazing membership for me.

Great experience. Yoko did an amazing job with the hair wash and the massage was amazing!! I can not remember my colorist name but she explained everything to me and took her time choosing a hair color for me.
