My wife and I really didn't understand engineered wood until we spoke with Carlos despite visiting other flooring companies while shopping around.
Knowing now that particle board is covered with several millimeters of real wood on top and it can be as thin as 1 millimeter-- which isn't going to last too long, especially if you have kids, high heels and a dog trotting about and of course if you have more millimeters of real wood on top, it's going to cost more.
