Jubally DIY Property Tax Solutions

I own several rentals in the Harris County. I tried using one of the big firms one year due to being busy and was extremely disappointed with their results. I vowed to do it myself moving forward. I would attempt to pull comps using sales since I have access to that information but it would take hours and research. I came across Jubally and not only has it saved me tens of thousands of my taxable property values but countless hours of research. I recommend to all my friends and coworkers when they ask for advice.

I have been using Jubally for my HCAD protests since 2015/16 and other than just one year I have been able to get my taxes/value reduced. Without question it is worth the $80 to get the report. It is a very detailed and thorough report of comps and why they are valued the way they are and how they are comparable to yours.

I go to each property they list and take a picture of it then give the review board all the pictures to look at. That has always worked well for me to have my properties value reduced.

The don't always accept the Jubally value but are typically in the neighborhood.

I believe 3 stars is a fair review. Jubally provides you one of two protest options based on your situation: Market, or Uniform & Equal. My experience is specifically about the U&E approach.

Pro:
1. You may be lucky and get an ARB board who is swayed by their analysis
2. I found the process informative and interesting, it's worth trying at least once.
3. They do have a money back guarantee, so you can't complain about money. But you will definitely spend your time, notably two half days off work to attend your informal and formal hearings. This may be irritating after you learn that the logic is not as solid as Jubally makes you think it is.
