Houston Karate Academy serves the Houston community with quality instruction in mixed martial arts and the tenets of karate. HKA meets each student where they are in their ability and takes them beyond what they believe they are able to achieve. Karate is a life-long commitment. A women's self-defense class offered no-nonsense instructions with staff and volunteers, recommended for all ages. The academy is a blessing, with an owner and instructors who are amazing, providing special needs classes. Children with special needs find a dedicated safe space and patience to learn self defense.
The instructors make the kid classes both fun and educational for learning tae kwon do and self defense.

I attended a women's self-defense class here with a friend a few weeks ago and I was impressed with Ms. Cunningham, the no-nonsense way in which she offered instructions and her staff and volunteers. I would recommend Houston Karate Academy for all ages.
