I called to be considerate and set an appointment, scheduled me for 5pm and neglected to tell me that he accepted walk-ins. I show up at 4:50 and call because he didn’t leave the suit number. He proceeds to tell me that he has two people in front of me and I calmly and professionally explain how much that was an inconvenience and asked what time should I come back for service. This man said 45 minutes.?for two heads? Really!? Anyway. I was gonna leave and come back, but I drove 20 minutes up there. I decided to go check out the place and possibly talk him or someone to find out why they thought this was okay considering we’re as customers aren’t allowed to waste their time without getting charged. I walked in and couldn’t find anyone. It was my first time there. I had to wonder around the salon. There was a lady sitting at the sink soaking and two people waiting. He was nowhere to be found. When I found the assistant, I calmly explained my problem to her and she gave me a lot of excuses for him and then invited me to sit down and talk with her. She mentioned family issues he was having and honestly I didn’t care, respectfully though. When she mentioned he was a new business owner and didn’t have workers I understood a little better, but still. Me and this lady had a 50 minute conversation and she’s the only reason I stayed and would’ve been the only reason I got my hair done, but when we thought we heard him at the door, it was another person coming in. WE FOUND THIS MAN SLEEPING!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to let the whole salon know at this point. And one lady tried to talk about a family death and ONCE AGAIN, idc. Reschedule us, take time off for yourself, but don’t waste peoples time and hard earned money and GAS. You’re not giving out discounts for your inconvenience and we have to pay for our inconvenience. The best thing about being an entrepreneur is that you can work when you want to and take off when you want to. Don’t overbook or overwork yourself. Have a healthy work/health balance. Don’t waste peoples time. I was considerate and showed up on time and even waited. Just for Damien to be sleep. Y’all gotta do better. I don’t recommend y’all booking with him tbh. That was the worst experience I’ve ever had.

They didn’t have what I needed but the young man at the register was very helpful and polite.

I gave Damian and his service multiple opportunities to right their wrongs. When I found Damian at Evolution of Style I literally cried to him because of how poorly I'd been treated at other locticians in the area....4 other establishments to be exact. I'm new to Houston, Texas as a whole. I've only had my locs less than 2 yrs & I've found no one with integrity or character to care for them or me. He knew this yet he STILL no showed & rescheduled on me last minute. The 2 times I was able to be seen my hair was palm rolled instead of interloc'd as I tried to embrace HIS process putting my faith in his "EXPERTISE" My hair came undone after the first wash 2 wks after my hair was done both times!! The "service" & "care" here was deplorable & this establishment should NOT be in business....he should go back to doing clients in his living room or kitchen instead of giving other black small business owners a bad wrap & making it harder for the worthy to gain the trust of the public!!Service: Dreadlocks

Long wait 49min! I think loticians should ask clients about current product use, any issues/concerns with types of product, explanation on product being used, so if any issues develop, client knows specific product details. Stylist fast and fixed thinning locs.

I wish there was a way for me to like this place. I scheduled my appointment at least two weeks in advance online. Was scheduled to attend a conference out of town over the weekend and wanted my hair redone. My appointment was scheduled for 5:30 and I arrived at 5:15. I waited until 6:00 at the front after being told to wait there. Unfortunately after all the laughing and talking in the back of the shop, Damian never honored my appointment. In my opinion, it does not matter how well you do hair, but how well you treat people. The treatment offered at this salon was deplorable. Damian should really consider a better customer service mentality.
