I scheduled an appointment here with my son hoping to get help and a diagnosis for him. The provider Jenna Gimmler canceled on us TWICE at the last minute. I take time off from work to meet these appointments and my son misses school as well since they can’t ever seem to have appointments after 2pm and won’t reschedule him for over a month out! It’s very unprofessional and upsetting. Will be seeking services elsewhere.

I am the epitome of a hurt mother. I assisted my daughter in making a counseling as she had been referred to this organization. I had a wonderful gentleman who was helping us and I had to get more information that he requested. When we called back he was going to lunch, and the lady who answered, stated that she would help us . Little did I know she would do anything but help us. I had the unfortunate encounter of speaking with Jessica Rosales, who insulted my daughter for having autism stating that "they couldn't help someone like" her because I was assisting my daughter in making the appointment and my daughter does not know her phone number so she told me that she could not allow me to help her make the appointment even though I am her legal representative. My daughter and I were on speaker phone and she became very frustrated and hurt because of the tone and the manner as well as the word choices that this rude and inadequately trained woman used. Professionalism was zero. Care, concern and basic human dignity we're trampled. My daughter was transferring to the agency because she aged out of her former Therapist age bracket. Participate in therapy and has actively and successfully benefitted. She was denied access, simply based on her inability to provide a phone number when I was there to provide information and support is request it, however I was also prevent it from assisting my own child. I clearly informed Ms. Rosales of my purpose for being on the call and that I was available, but she refused to accept information from me.

employees need to learn about policies prior to sending families through months of wasted time and money. rejecting a family prior to any final eligibility letters being delivered is not only unprofessional but a power trip that should be reigned in. The state makes the rules and Depelchin cherry picks their favorites and throws out the rest.

Family Houston has been an amazing resource in my time of need. Ms. Judy Vo is amazing, compassionate, a great listener, and makes an effort to care for as many areas of your life such as physical health, relationships, well being, etc. I got great information from her on job leads, job searching tips, affordable health care resources. I cannot say enough about Family Houston! I would highly recommend it.

I have been receiving counseling services from here for a couple of years now. First for my son and now for me. Our therapist, Jorge, is amazing. He is very professional and smart. He really cares and explains everything so well. He takes notes so that every time we meet, he knows exactly where we are. It's been a true blessing for me. He also helped my son to learn how to deal with his anger and my son really enjoyed his time during therapy. At first he didn't want to do therapy, but at the end, he missed his sessions when it was over.
