Was very excited to get a nice blow out for my birthday I did arrive late got confused on location thought I booked for river oaks but it was rice village no problem they said I could still come was very grateful I showed the stylist a picture of a woman that has lots of volume and lots of curls as in one of the photos she was nice didn’t talk much and when she showed me the end results I was a little taking back on how there was no curls had to leave and still tip her well cause I understand the beauty industry but this was not worth it will try another location

⭐ 1/5 I booked an appointment through the Drybar app for 6:15 PM at this location. It was the only available slot. The app accepted it. I got a confirmation email. I drove all the way there. When I walked in to check in, the young man at the front desk told me, very matter-of-factly and with absolutely zero empathy, that they could not service me because my account had been flagged for “extended blow dry time” and that flag does not allow bookings past 6:15. So why did your app let me book it? Why did you send me a confirmation? Why did I have to drive all the way there to find that out? To make matters worse, I do not have extra long, extra thick, or extra curly hair. There is no legitimate basis for that flag on my account. As a Black woman, I have to be direct: this is not the first time this location has tried to apply extended service charges and designations to my appointments that simply do not apply to me. The pattern is not lost on me, and it should not be lost on anyone reading this. The experience was embarrassing, dismissive, and frankly discriminatory. I have submitted a formal written complaint to location management. I would strongly encourage other Black women with natural hair to think twice before booking here.

I had a fantastic experience at Drybar Rice Village! Was very affordable for the service I received (Updo). Parking was easy and garage was free for the first two hours! The salon itself was clean, stylish, and very welcoming. The staff was incredibly professional, attentive, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment. Service started right on time, which I really appreciated. A special shoutout to the manager, Pam, who was wonderful and very knowledgeable—she made the whole experience even better. I absolutely loved how my hair turned out, and it lasted all day without losing its style. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for great service and beautiful results!

I always book with Pam at Drybar Rice Village whenever I’m in town, and she never misses. She’s incredibly attentive, truly understands textured hair, and somehow makes my hair manageable even in Houston humidity. She’s the only one I trust when I’m visiting Houston!

My wife had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this place. The hairstylist paid close attention to detail and made sure her part was perfectly straight, exactly how she wanted it. Everything looked great when she left. They were right on time for her appointment, and she appreciated that they took their time to do a thorough, careful job on her hair without making her feel rushed.

Avoid at all costs. I literally had to tell the hairstylists to straighten my part. When I left, my part was still nowhere near straight. I spent more time waiting for my appointment (they were 28 minutes late,)than my appointment took - she spent less than 20 minutes on my hair.

It is upsetting that they would charge $25 cancellation (even for rescheduling) to a loyal customer who had to cancel for personal reasons. I guess business comes before everything.
Also they would always make you wait even if you make an appointment. One time i wasn’t even attended to until after 30 min of my appointment time. And their blowouts are always a hit or miss.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Drybar Rice Village. The entire staff is truly exceptional—everyone is warm, welcoming, and incredibly talented. I have tried both uptown and River oaks and I always come back to rice village.
Mel is absolutely incredible, but honestly, every single stylist I’ve had has done an amazing job. It’s rare to find a place where the quality is consistently this high no matter who you see.
What really sets this location apart is how caring and thoughtful the team is. They make you feel taken care of from the moment you walk in, and they pay attention to every detail.
I go once a week, and every single time I leave feeling confident and happy with my hair. They never miss. Highly recommend!

Horrible experience!!!! SCAMMERSSSSSS!!! this place sucks and workers are unempethatic after explaining i had a medical emergency the day i had an appointment and forgot to cancel. How is this even legal to charge someone fully for a blowout i didn’t even get and even more because they kept charging me $1 randomly since i placed the appointment. Seriously save your money and go somewhere that isn’t money hungry. Obviously if they didn’t need it they wouldn’t have charged me FULLY are you kidding like what kind of policy even is that.

This is genuinely the worst blowout I’ve ever gotten and I should’ve known from when she started shampooing my hair. She missed the under layer of my hair while washing and I’m surprised she didn’t notice when it came time to towel dry my hair. Stylists also clearly dont expierence with textured hair because how was she going to send me on my way without using a hot tool knowing my hair did not look good and was frizzing up in front of her post blow out. When I asked her to use a hot tool she rushed it and I am not happy with the end result. Please train the stylists to deal with other types of hair besides just fine hair. My big bouncy curls looked NOTHING like the “flat on top, loose curls” I asked for. This membership is way too expensive for terrible styles
