Woke up to a hot house Monday last week and a wife that was not pleased. I half diagnosed the issue but was hoping I was wrong, called up Rabroker and the worst was true. My almost reliable 25ish year old unit was at the end of its lifespan. The tech told me straight up that if I wanted him to replace the fan motor it'd take him a while because of the age of the unit and particular way it was set up he'd have to cut the shaft but the compressor is shot and it wouldn't last long. He said he'd do it but suggested a new unit all together.
