After purchasing a Cedar Creek lake property, we had plans drawn up to do a complete interior remodel of the house and add a master bedroom, bathroom, and enlarge the existing garage. In the process it was discovered the foundation was too uneven, so the decision was made to tear down the entire house and do a new build. We had bids from 4 potential builders in the area. I was living out of state at the time and needed a builder that would communicate with me and keep my travel to a minimum. After the initial meetings with Reid and Katy, we selected Built 4 You, LLC in Gun Barrel City, TX. Their turnkey proposal gave me a solid budget to work with and the option to do any upgrades - only paying the difference between the turnkey allotment and the upgraded product price. The draw schedule for payments was clearly outlined in the contract. Draw payments and change orders were promptly created and generated through a secure site for approval, so there was never a question about costs or payment due. Both Reid and Katy were extremely easy to talk to and work with. They answered calls promptly, kept me up to date at every phase, and always projected a positive, can-do attitude. I can honestly say there wasn't a disagreement between us at any time during the build. When I did question any aspect of the build, Reid would listen and either make requested changes, or give me solid reasons and reference points for proceeding as planned. Katy coached me through design choices, and I don't think we had one call where we didn't laugh and enjoy talking to each other. Reid's employees and the subcontractors he used were timely, conscientious and did exceptional work. When I did ask for changes or corrections, they were done with the same positive attitude. Building a home from the ground up is a daunting task, so the ability to laugh and work together so well was a very BIG PLUS in my book. We're now happily living in our home by the lake and get constant comments from family, neighbors, and passersby about how beautiful it is.
