amazing cobbler -- from customer service to repair. i brought in a pair of boots that a local shoe/repair place had (what a mess). messina not only made my boots beautiful that didn't want to charge me for it. yes didn't want to charge me. what a great company!! i know i am on caps because i am shouting how great they are!
I brought in a roughed up pair of Timberland Earthkeepers boots I have had since 2010. They were long overdue for a new sole. Three weeks later I received what almost looked like a brand new pair of boots - re-soled and conditioned to a beautiful shiny new look. This place does excellent work and I would give them my business again readily.
I had been burned by a previous attempt at getting some work done on some boots, so when I needed some work done I was seeking out a new place to go! My husband remembered there being Messina's on Main street so we went ahead and gave them a shot to have some lace hooks taken off a pair of my boots and replaced with regular lace holes. Price was reasonable enough, but plan on your boots being kept for a few weeks due to the amount of jobs that they get & with them being a family owned business. My boots had been given a date to be done on a Friday about 3 weeks out. So, keep that in mind if you need something done by a certain date. As well, I would suggest calling before heading out on the date given. I came by on the date given and unfortunately they said they were not ready yet. I had been told they should be ready by Tuesday but to call before driving up. Which they ended up being done by that Tuesday! So about 4 days behind the estimated date but not bad.
