Very clean, nice swimming pool and very friendly staff with great attitude and customer service.

I used to go to the gym here and it was great until it wasn’t. After all my workouts I enjoy a good sauna session, but people were always messing with the unit, pouring all kinds of stuff on it like water and other things, and now the sauna is constantly under maintenance and sometimes has been out for days at a time. On top of that, it’s not even a real sauna experience anymore – the temperature is so low there’s no point in even going in. A traditional sauna should be closer to around 170–190°F to really feel effective, while 120°F is more like a lukewarm room and is closer to steam-room or low-end infrared temps than a proper sauna. The whole reason I got a membership here was to use the sauna, so it’s really disappointing that what used to be the main benefit of this place is basically gone now.

I've started going to other LA fitness locations just to see, mostly because the sauna was out here for a little while. And this is still my favorite location. Friendly staff. Almost always clean. Sometimes a bit warmer than id like it but no major complaints.

I joined LA Fitness at the Garland location this past July, and I am beyond frustrated with my experience.

The staff here is extremely rude—they don’t even bother to say good morning. The location itself is convenient and the equipment is decent, but now I understand why it’s always so empty: the place feels abandoned and dirty.

Showers are constantly out of paper towels, soap, and sometimes even water. Some showers don’t have soap at all, the locker rooms are dirty, and unlike other LA Fitness locations, there are no clean towels available. It’s honestly unacceptable.

LA Fitness is supposed to provide the same standard experience no matter the location, but this gym is far below the mark. One bad location damages the reputation of all others, and Garland LA Fitness is a prime example of that.

I regret joining this specific gym. If management doesn’t take action soon, I will have to reconsider keeping my membership.

Visited from my LA Fitness in Duncanville to Grand Prarie because I wanted to experience another local gym and use their sauna because mine had theirs waiting to be serviced. They have less equipment than mine and people are not as friendly. Asian is so hot I could not stand being in there more than 5 minutes at a time. I ended up getting pimples on my ass and back because they keep it so hot in there, my watch burned me and my crocs shrunk. They used to be loose and one is huge my foot just right and the other is so tight I will consider replacing them. Please do not keep it that hot. My phone didn’t even last 5 minutes before warning me that it was an emergency it usually takes a good 20-30 minutes at other saunas I’ve been to locally. They keep the temperature setting covered where you can’t lower it and it is way too high that it is dangerous l. It is definitely a safety issue for members.

The other thing, they are always out of the lighter free weights such as the 20s and 25s. They are always scattered throughout the gym and they don’t encourage members to put them back where they belong . Maybe have another set of weights in the open training area because they always take the lighter weights there.

The new person leaves a lot to be desired. They made me wait for about half an hour verifying my code saying it's not me. I hope they change. They are a man with glasses, I think his name is Javi, and a girl with red hair.

I give the gym 🏋️‍♂️ a 5 stars because they have a pool to swim and has a basketball court to play and also have a sauna to and have so many workout machines..
