I built a gazebo for a client and wanted a thatch roof. Problem was, I couldn't find anyone who does thatch in this part of the world (central Texas). And what natural, local materials would they use? I wanted something durable and cedar shake just doesn't last long. This was in 2018. It so happened that I had a friend with 40 boxes of LP records. Could they work as shingles? I checked with the client and he said I could go for it. I put down ice & water shield underlayment on the roof deck and installed the records on top. As soon as the sun came out the records curled like potato chips. But they held and, amazingly, it worked for 6 years! But... read full review

My wife and I had MTR remove a wood shelf in our laundry room and replace it with cabinets. Alberto was fantastic overseeing all aspects of the job that included the estimate, demo, wall restoration, wall paint matching and cabinet installation. This was our second project done by MTR and we highly recommend them.
