My first time at this salon. Ashley cut my hair, she did an amazing job with my hair. She listened to my ideas and went above and beyond my expectations. Corina undercut my hair (baby fine hair) to give it more volume. I am very impressed the service I received.

This place is beyond unprofessional and drama. The owner is the worst of them all. It's awkward to watch while trying to relax getting your hair done. Don't waste your time or money here. Don't know how this place is still open

Best place for curly perms in Houston! Expert Layer, Cut, Style, and Perms. Corina Brown is the only one in Houston that knows how to do piggy-back perms (certain wrapping technique). Such a warm and friendly salon too! It always feels like a gathering of friends everytime I get my hair done! So glad I found this salon. Customer for life.

Such an amazing / cozy Salon. Was referred by a friend that's been going here for years. I can't even describe how grateful I am to have the owner and her daughter do some work on my hair...after it was ruined by a salon in Dickinson. Family owned, laid back and sweet staff. I'm so happy! My hair is healthier and feels amazing 100000000% recommend!!! I got a Brazilian blowout & its worth every penny!!

New to town and on my third attempt at finding a new salon. Sarah did a fantastic job and I have finally found my salon home. She did a beautiful jand custom color and highlights. My color had not been done in 4 months and she transformed me!! Highly recommend.

Coming from MA where I was paying $55 (+tip) for a cut and color at a hairdresser who I loved, I was very nervous about finding a new salon. Luckily, my mom was already a customer at Southern Roots and recommended them. For the first time in months, I LOVE my hair again. Many hairdressers can give you a great color and cut, but Corina goes multiple extra miles. She asked tons of questions about my routine and lifestyle, and is continuously working with me to fix my hair issues for good. She's incredibly knowledgeable and super easy-going. The staff are all an absolute pleasure to be around, and the place itself is like a little cottage; very cozy and homey. Prices were reasonable considering what the norm is these days. I knew I wasn't going to find my previous price anywhere, but at least I found the talent and enjoyable time! As added bonuses, they've got a signature cherry mimosa that's very delicious, and a boutique with adorable stuff to buy. They've got it all!

I went and got my hair done awhile ago (maybe in April) and to be honest I can't remember the woman's name who did it. I asked for an A-line bob, and to get highlights done. I paid $200+ and ended up with yellow hair and a botched cut. I had no idea I had to pay extra for toner and by the time I realized I was so unhappy I just wanted to leave. In the picture where you can see the horrible cut I was given, my hair was fixed by my friend in MO and I only paid $150 for highlights, toner, a conditioning treatment and for her to fix my cut and style my hair. Sadly the length I had gained in my time between styles was lost because it had to be evened out. I do not recommend booking here.
