About LA Fitness

LA Fitness offers a variety of amenities, including state-of-the-art equipment, basketball courts, group fitness classes, a pool, saunas, a Kids Klub, and personal training. Some members have noted the need for improvements, such as fixing the broken leg extension machine and adding a glute drive and deadlift platform. There have also been requests for a complimentary coffee bar and a wider selection of sugar-free drinks in the vending machines. The pool is currently closed. While some areas, like the dumbbell station, require deeper cleaning, staff are generally praised for their helpfulness and kindness. The gym is often considered mid in quality but sufficient for the average gym-goer. Equipment availability is usually good, though some members are concerned about rules against recording others, as a few individuals livestream their workouts, making others uncomfortable. The gym tends to attract dedicated members, mostly those with 1 to 2 years of consistent fitness experience, including both young adults and seniors.

The gym is usually great I don’t usually have any issues with equipment availability but I’m pretty sure recording other people is against the gym rules but there is consistently one guy that always puts his tripod up and livestreams his entire workout along with everyone else in the gym and I know it makes myself and other I bring with me uncomfortable. Hopefully the staff can enforce their own rules and make the environment suitable for everyone

Youngsters and seniors own the place ?

I come here often. My main complaints relate to the dumbbells section.

    1) The dumbbells weights are not granular enough for the 5-40 lbs range. I would like 2.5 lbs increments.

    2) There is too much redundancy in the very heavy weights >70 lbs. These weights are rarely used. It would be better to cut back on the rarely used weights and double up on the ones that are used frequently.

    3) The weights are arranged linearly. It would be better if they were arrange in 2 sets linearly. This arrangement would reduce the search time by 50% and reduce traffic for the benches in the middle.

    4) It would be better to have +1-2ft more between the free...read full review
