About Fort Worth Veterinary Surgical

Fort Worth Veterinary Surgical is a locally owned, family-oriented referral hospital for small animals needing surgery or special diagnostics. Their mission is to provide individualized, personal service and quality surgical care. They enjoy and strongly prefer working with primary care veterinarians, as they do not offer routine or preventative care. Dr. Dean, who is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgery, has 38 years of experience.

Clients have praised the excellent care and successful outcomes provided by Dr. Dean and the staff. Patients have made full recoveries from procedures like TPLO surgery, with owners reporting their pets acting like puppies again. The facility is highly recommended, with clients even driving from as far as Austin to have their dogs treated there.

Dr. Dean fixed Bella’s knee cap 7.5 years ago and she is doing awesome! She was only 10 months old when she had surgery and was in a lot of pain. She has been pain free and has had no issues what so ever. Thank you, Dr. Dean!

My dog Halsey had a torn acl and meniscus and Dr.Dean and staff provided us with top notch care. They kept me up to date and informed throughout the surgery and sent a pic when he was finished. Halsey is getting better and better everyday. I highly recommend this practice

It has been almost 5 months since her right TPLO and 3 months since her left TPLO, and our Zuzu is doing amazing! She can run and play now with NO LIMPING afterwards. She even stands up on her hind legs to give us hugs again. It is wonderful to see our baby happy and playful again. Everyone at the office was honest and helpful, from explaining the procedure, to praying for our baby girl, to texting us photo updates. Y’all are amazing. Thanks so much!
