I’ve been to many spas around the country because I travel often, but as an El Paso local, I can honestly say Desert Spirit Spa is on a whole other level! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Erica, who was so enthusiastic, warm, and genuinely happy to see me. She made me feel immediately welcomed — and can we talk about how amazing this place smells? (Yes, I’m saying it twice because it’s that good!)

The walk to the locker room was beautiful, and the robes were luxurious. I had my massage with Roxanne, who was incredibly talented and communicative. She listened to what I needed and focused on exactly where I was in pain — from my neck down to my left shoulder. I left feeling completely renewed.

This spa is spotless, serene, and truly five-star in every way. I couldn’t stop talking about it afterward — I told my family and friends all about the experience. I didn’t get the chance to meet the manager, but her team speaks volumes about her leadership and dedication. I hope to meet her next time I visit, which will definitely be next month!

“When I booked my first session I was incredibly nervous. I mean; I imagine not many men get their body hair waxed - particularly 67-year old chubby ones. When I called and asked if she accepted male clients she said absolutely. I booked an appointment for arms; underarms, chest/belly; and, legs. The studio (is that the correct term?) was clean, simply decorated, and between it and Brittany; I felt almost calm. She explained everything to me and proceeded to do a dynamite job. I was expeting something like the scene in "The Forty Year Old Virgin" but she is so good there was zero - I mean zero pain and only bery mild discomfort. The spa amenities are free as long as one is spending above a certain price point. Check with them first. Booking is easy, lots of parking nearby. It's set inside a hip lux hotel in downtown El Paso.
