I finally made it out there yesterday. This is a birding paradise. I walked both trails and did the auto tour as well. All so beautiful n amazing! Am thinking about going back next week. Can’t wait!
This is an amazing place to view lots of wildlife and wildflowers and of course, see the endangered Attwater Prairie Chicken. I enjoyed the bus tour and I would definitely recommend attending their Spring festival and arriving early for your best chance of seeing and hearing the Prairie Chickens. It was an awesome experience.
We had such a wonderful and educational experience when visiting the Attwater Refuge. We saw a lot of wildlife and the wildlife specialist, Jaide, was so excited and knowledgeable when teaching us about the prairie chickens and the refuge. What a magical place!
