About Werner Enterprises
Werner Enterprises, Inc. provides a comprehensive onboarding experience for its professional drivers. With a modern fleet of over 8,600 trucks and 27,000 trailers, the company is dedicated to keeping America moving. At its terminals, drivers can enjoy state-of-the-art amenities, including clean and comfortable living quarters. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and instructors are great. The company offers shuttle services and rental cars, although the shuttle may not always be available. Drivers can also bring their own vehicles and use the grab-and-go breakfast option. The Dallas terminal is considered one of the best, offering its own hotel, a gym, and showers in a separate building from the main office, making it a large and comfortable space. Orientation is a positive experience, with safety team members and instructors being very helpful and knowledgeable, making new drivers feel welcomed. The hiring process can feel a bit drawn out and overwhelming, but the staff does their best to make it more enjoyable and fun. Werner also provides reimbursement for gas receipts and tuition payment for recent truck driving school graduates. While some drivers have experienced initial difficulties in getting the desired trucks, such as requesting a Peterbilt for over-the-road work, the company tries to accommodate requests and offers good alternatives, like a 2022 Freightliner, which might not ride as smoothly but is still considered a decent truck. Overall, Werner offers several job opportunities and emphasizes safety first.
William and I would like to express appreciation to George Carson, Tony Clayton, Adriana Domurat, Joe Hersey and Antwan Welch for their assistance with getting our truck fixed when the APU went out. This group of people went above and beyond what we expected.
After returning from the road to test out the process has been a bit confusing but for me it has been an employee by the name of Monique who has honed it all in for me she has been professional and informative no matter how many or what question I've had she has went above and beyond to give me clarity. I believe Monique is part of the safety team she's been excellent.
The hiring process can feel a bit drawn out and overwhelming, however the staff and safety team at the Dallas terminal do their best at making it a more enjoyable and fun learning experience.
There are several job opportunities with Werner, just ask. Safety first!
