About Kindred Hospital Dallas Central
Kindred Hospital Dallas Central is a specialized acute care hospital that focuses on the treatment and rehabilitation of post-intensive care and complex medical patients. The hospital does not offer emergency services but provides a wide range of rehabilitation therapies to help patients progress to positive outcomes, regain function, and safely return home as quickly as their recovery allows. The staff at Kindred Hospital Dallas Central is described as very efficient, with the nursing team and nurse technicians receiving particular praise for their excellent care. The hospital also has a renowned wound care doctor who treats patients on-site. While there was an initial issue with a negligent nurse, the concerns were addressed by the administrator, and the majority of the nursing staff were reported to be excellent, including a wound care RN specialist and an amazing nurse technician. The doctors at Kindred Hospital Dallas Central are noted as being attentive, thorough, and personal, despite the current nursing shortage. The overall team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists is also commended for their work in helping patients gain strength and functionality at a low point in their recovery.
The facility has very good staff but they are spread thinly. But they have some of the best CNA’s - Daphne, Asia, and Stacy. These 3 ladies go above and beyond for their patients. Pt- Ekachie is absolutely great. It- David is amazing and St- Savanna takes the extra time to make sure you are in good condition. Restorive - Danni I think is her name is really good and will get you going.
The respiratory team and George was so good. Also the rehab team helped him so much. OT and PT did great. Lisa, Emarita, Arul and a few more that I can't remember their names. These Nurses went above and beyond. I am so grateful for them. Also James in EVS he found our phone in a huge pile of dirty li ens. That is going above and beyond. Thank you. We are so excited to be going home today.
This Hospital has been a Godsend for me. insurance almost didn't let me come and I was bed bound, which included using the restroom on the chucks and only being able to lay there, I could not turn or anything else. I've been in the hospital for a year for a wound that had been difficult. so let's start with the winning team, Heather, Hunan, Ray, T.. they are the best wound care team that I've had over the year of being in the hospital. there is no way I can say enough good things about this team. They know how to take care and dress wounds better than anybody and they are so good at their job. Next is the therapist. Initially it was Dennis and Echechi(I know I spelled that wrong) and Kendrick..these guys worked with me and got me to transferring sitting up in bed and doing everything myself stretching out getting dressed everything that I was depending on everybody to do. they were invaluable in my rehab, if you're lucky to have these guys to work with you have been thoroughly blessed by God because these guys will take you from a to b in a quick fashion. Once I made it to rehab on the second floor I had Brooke and Ashley, and Emily these girls are awesome they will work you until you cannot move hardly but get you in shape to do all the things that you need to do from a wheelchair. The last place I was at convinced me that I needed a motorized chair because that's where I was and I couldn't do anything for myself. I couldn't do nothing but move my wrist. but now I've got a $30,000 chair that I'm not going to be able to use because I'm back in the manual chair which was one of my goals. All these people help change me back to being independent from being bed bound the past year.🌍 the administration team was great Erin the exit coordinator and Kayla who made sure by asking questions that things were going well. that was awesome for them to be checking up and make sure things were going well. the truth is I wish I could stay two more weeks I would accomplish so much more but in this short amount of time Kindred has changed my life for the better and allow me to become more independent. the food is great the nurses are all great the techs are all great. Fatima, Chantelle Amina, Lucy, Victor, Cynthia, Stacy, Jose, Danyel and many more.. and everyone else I can't think of are awesome help...I have not found one person that is not an awesome person at what they do. I don't know how Kindred was able to hire such a super team, but we as patients benefit tremendously from the workers at this Hospital. even the guys that clean such as James and Solomon are excellent people and what they do. so if you get a chance to come to this hospital for any type of rehab or wound care or whatever it is it's bringing you here feel blessed that you are able to be a part of something so great, I guarantee you your life will change for the better and you will be doing way more than you thought you ever could on your path to Independence.
