“I intentionally waited nearly a month before writing this review to make sure everything held up—and it absolutely has. My impression hasn’t changed: ARC Electric & Lightning is a top-notch, professional, knowledgeable, and highly customer-focused company. I would recommend them to anyone.

We initially met with ARC about installing a whole-home Generac generator and also got a quote from a large “superstore” competitor. ARC does charge a quote fee, which gave me pause at first, but it applies to the project and made sense for a family-run business—and their reputation made it worth it. Tina from ARC was outstanding: she took detailed measurements, explained installation options and tradeoffs, and answered all of our questions without any pressure. She was upfront that they might not be the cheapest, but emphasized their service.

Our experience with the larger company was the opposite—very sales-driven, little flexibility, and a “take it or leave it” approach. Ironically, ARC was still very competitive on price. Based on how we were treated and their strong reviews, choosing ARC was an easy decision—and the right one.

Scheduling was smooth and flexible. When our HOA approval was delayed, ARC had no issue adjusting timelines and worked around our schedule—something we haven’t always experienced with other contractors.

Installation day was where they really stood out. Armando and his crew arrived on time (actually early and ready to go) and were the most professional team I’ve worked with. The project included generator install, transfer switch, gas and electrical runs, concrete pad, and integration with our existing solar setup. Everything was handled with precision and care.

What impressed me most was their organization and cleanliness. They used a portable work table, kept parts protected, avoided leaving tools scattered around, and were thoughtful about preserving the yard when digging. Even details like using pea gravel instead of sand for the slab showed their attention to quality.

They communicated clearly throughout, gave advance notice for brief power shutoffs, and even identified a small gas leak at our pool equipment that we hadn’t noticed. After installation, Armando walked me through everything—setup, registration, testing, and load simulation—making sure I was completely comfortable with the system.

They left the area spotless. A month later, everything is working perfectly. The generator runs its weekly test cycle without issue, and I have full confidence in the installation and ARC’s support if anything ever comes up.
