Picking a contractor is nerve wracking – are they honest, do they do good work, will they complete the job timely - to name just a few of the worries. I am very happy with the Deskins Group. They are local and it is important to me to support local businesses. I have used them twice now – small job involving siding and bees (don’t ask) last year and a much bigger job involving adding a walk-in shower where only the ever present 1970s wet bar existed, external paint job, new windows (replacing original aluminum), new hot water heater and a couple of smaller items in a 1974 house. Shaun Deskins was knowledgeable, personable, set reasonable expectations and has a knack for hiring crews that are competent, friendly, courteous and hard workers. (He and the his crews had their work cut out for them since there seems to be no 90 degree angles in this house.) And his crew chief – Jesse – is just the best! I work from home and need to be on conference calls at various times during the day and worked with my schedule. He kept me informed when more noisy work needed to occur (like jack hammering, nail guns, cutting out the aluminum windows, etc). Dust was another item that they excelled at keeping out of the rest of the house. And I have dogs and was worried about stray nails, screws, etc. Jesse ensured a big rolling magnet was run around the house frequently so that the dogs couldn’t get stupid and eat said metal. I will use them again in a heartbeat.
