I just called to get an appointment and guess what? They don't take any new patients at the moment. Way to growth a business next!

This man 'saved' my life. I could not see except in full daylight and he restored my vision post lasik. Do not get lasik or lasek or wavefront or epi lasik or PRK or whatever else crap they are marketing. If you must don't get a procedure that creates and lifts a flap. That causes a lot of problems. Verify yourself that you have TINY pupils. The lasik people flat out lied to me on this measurement. They leave the lights on slighlty while taking the measurement. I had wavefront lasik performed using the latest machines for all the money could buy in 2019. I was not a candidate other than having $5k in my pocket. My lasik surgeon told me that the procedure was a great success - despite my not being able to drive except in full daylight or see faces in dim lighting. I am sure his office marked it down as a great success and furnished this info to the FDA. The lasik industry is as evil as they come. They do what is right for them not what is right for you. This is true of most industries of course, but medicine is supposed to be different. And they take advantage of the trust you may have built up in the medical establishment. No more for me, of course. Dr. G was a godsend. After seeing two additional lasik surgeons (across the country) and two scleral lens optometrists (across the country) who told me I was in pretty good shape and they were sorry I was not 'happy' and that they could sell me more crap that in their words likely wouldn't do any good, I found Dr. G. Dr. G's lenses are fully customized - not customized like you pick the color of your next Ryan home (aka the BostonSight Sclerals). I hope that BostonSight pays Dr. G $10mm for his tech so that his way of doing things can continue. If they had any self respect they would. Dr. G's lenses are more comfortable than the contacts I used to have. And I have regained 90% of the sharpness I didn't know I was so blessed to have pre mutilation (90% reduction in halos, starbursts, and smearing). Further, I improved on my pre mutilation snell numbers which are lower than I can ever remember - below 20/20. Snell numbers by which the lasik industry measures their success are a joke. Until you are mutilated you likely don't know how many other measurements are critical to sharp vision. Round trip lasik cost me ~$10k and a quite a bit more in disruption to my life and fear that I would be house bound like some sort of old blind cat. Don't let these grimey megalomaniac laisk surgeons cut your eyes. Dr. G speaks kindly of them. I disagree. I realize you may be in the 80/100 or the 90/100 or even the 98/100 that won't have my issues, but the risk of lasik is not what they are telling you. It is not 99.9/100. I have met too many people. And even if it were my adverse outcome would not be worth that risk. If you were fooled, duped, scammed then Dr. G is your best bet to get most of the way back. There is hope. I cringe every time I hear a cheap lasik ad on the radio.

Following LASIK issues, I travelled twice to Laserfit to get Dr. G's speciality scleral lenses. For me they have literally been life changing. Dr. Gemoules is a wonderful caring man who is obsessive about details, a master of his craft and always goes the extra mile. Highly recommended for any complex cornea issues. I tried many specialists in Australia... no one had the expertise to fix my vision issues. And the scleral expertise is almost non existent here. Laserfit lenses make my life possible.

I had 8 incision RK performed about 25 years and and have suffered with the usual complications which left me with at best 20/40 corrected vision in the right eye and worse in the left. After finding Dr G on an internet search, I scheduled a 1 week appointment in texas. The first day Dr G took measurements and explained that I should prepare myself for potentially only modest improvement due to RK scarring and existing cataracts. This news was quite difficult to hear. The second day was uplifting to say the least. The first set of lenses, after some optical adjustment, had me seeing better than I have since my RK. This was life changing as I never thought I would regain my corrected vision. In all, I left Texas after 5 days seeing at least 20/25 in each eye. What a miracle!

I have a condition called SLK which is painful and causes my eyes to swell microscopically, along with ocular neuropathy following Lasik. This has made my eyes extremely light sensitive and its difficult for me to leave my home, look at computers, or do many of the things that most people can do with ease. I also have Lyme disease which is probably why my Lasik didn't turn out very well. I got Prose lenses 5 years ago through a clinic at UCSF and found them to help both my SLK And Neuropathy, but this past year or two they became uncomfortable to the point that I couldn't wear them. I found out that replacing them would cost 20,000 which was impossible for me, so I researched a little bit online, and found out about Dr. Gemoules. I was excited because it sounded like his lenses would fit better and would be one fifth of the price of replacing my Prose. So in March I flew to Dallas and spent 5 days getting fit for my lenses, and I have to say the results have been really wonderful. The first pair of lenses that he had me try on were more comfortable than my Prose and that was just the first pair he made. He made me a total of 5 pairs until he got the most comfortable fit, with a coating that makes it so that I can barely feel them, even when I blink. They are also slightly smaller than my Prose in diameter, which makes them more comfortable and easier to put in. Overall my experience going to see Dr. Gemoules was wonderful. He is a really kind hearted person, he listened to what I had to say, and he made sure I left with the most comfortable pair of contacts that I possibly could. I am up to wearing them as much as 14 hours a day now, I am able to go outside and enjoy the day in ways I could never before when the sunlight hurt my eyes too much. For the last year or so I was basically a shut in because of my eye conditions, and now I am outside every day sometimes 5 to 7 hours. I can't recommend Dr. Gemoules highly enough and I can't thank him enough for what he did for me.

I have a very complex case. Not only do I have moderate post lasik ectasia, but I also have optic nerve atrophy I'm both eyes. Glasses were barely helping my 20/100 and 20 /200 vision. Dr. G worked tirelessly for a week to get me the perfect vision and comfort with sclerals. He was able to return my vision to how it was before the ectasia, something that my doctors at home didn't think could be done. Dr. G put his heart into his work. He and his staff made me feel at home during my stay in Texas. I would recommend all people with hard to treat eye cases, see Dr. G.

I saw Dr. Gemoules to obtain a customized set of scleral lens to address my vision problems. As a result of corrective eye surgery in the 1990s, my corneas had flattened out over time, making it very difficult to get good vision with glasses. I also suffered from dry eye. I had already been fit with "off the rack" scleral lens, but they were uncomfortable and I couldn't wear them all day. Dr. Gemoules spent an entire week fitting me with a set of lenses that had been specifically made for the exact shape of my eye. He would have one set made, we would try it out, make adjustments, and then have a new set made the next day. This continued until the fit was exceptional and the vision astounding. He was incredibly patient and clearly cares about his patients. It's been 6 months since I came in and obtained my "LaserFit" Lenses. My dry eye problem is resolved and the fit and vision are nearly perfect. I put them in first thing in the morning and wear them until the end of the day.

Absolutely working miracles here with commitment to the patient. Wavefront tech can change your life. Especially if you have corneal issues or dry eyes. The laser fit technology he patented is truly great at turning your life around. The price may be an issue for some but if you can afford it you can turn your life and career around if corneal issues plague you. No guarantees with health care but this is the best option for people with corneal issues who want to avoid surgery at all costs.

I needed a special scleral lens made for my severe dry eye. I did lots of research, talked to a number of sources, and visited multiple providers. In the end Dr. Gemoules at Coppell Family Eyecare became the clear first choice. I knew he was skilled just from all the positive stories I could find on many different websites and various forums. He answered all my questions (had to be hundreds of them by the time I finished!) via email the same day I asked them. He was detailed, honest, and very knowledgeable. He really listened to me, before, during, and after. I never felt rushed, or like a number. The facilities are small, quiet, and friendly.. The hours are excellent, and they pretty much let me decide when I wanted to come (I chose the first Wed-Wed that I had open since plane tickets are cheapest mid week). He has a system in place that made it easy for me to fly down to a very nice town in Texas, get a perfectly fit device, and fly back in one week. He used his special technology alongside close proximity to his custom lens provider to streamline the fitting process and to get a lens that fit perfectly without the aches and pains of a long trial and error process. I don't understand why everyone doesn't do it this way. And his prices are unparalleled. Scleral lenses are not cheap. But I got a custom fitted, high quality lens with a trip to Texas and a wonderful discounted hotel stay (can you say whirlpool in your room?!!) for the same price that it would have cost me for just a lens through the other providers. My only regret is all the time and money I wasted before coming here - thousands of dollars on surgeries, bandages, glasses, drops, plugs, etc etc etc. If you have a special problem like I do, or are an unusual case that other eye doctors haven't been able to help, or feel like your current scleral lenses aren't completely comfortable, I highly recommend you send him an email and see what he has to offer.

I suffered an eye injury and even though I had never been a patient before, Dr. G responded via email for a recommendation for a specialist and some advice on treatment I should have been given. It was very helpful.
