Derrick’s is a great shop. It has a cool atmosphere, the staff is friendly, and the prices are fair. As a woman, I haven’t always felt welcome at a barbershop. It’s never been a problem here. It’s not a “boys only” club.
I’ve been a client of Alba’s for two years; seeing her every two weeks. She’s does an excellent job shaving the sides of my head and giving me the clean, defined lines I’m after. She knows her stuff.
She keeps my mohawk looking fierce and I always walk out feeling better than when I walked in.
I have had such a good experience here that now my husband and sons are her clients as well.
We absolutely love bringing our toddler to see Alba! She is SO patient and amazing with him, especially for being so little. She always takes the time to explain what haircut/style will work best for his hair texture and cowlicks (which is honestly so helpful 😂). You can tell she really pays attention to the little details. His hair always turns out adorable, and she makes the whole experience comfortable and fun for him. He looks forward to the pampering and lollipop at the end! Highly recommend!
