As a seller, Home Team Inspection came to my home on behalf of the buyer. They told the buyer that there were “significant” foundation issues and the roof needed to be replaced. The buyer did have a foundation specialist come out for a second opinion, and found that there were actually no foundation issues. However, they insisted that I must replace the roof before the purchase based on the inspectors recommendation. I had two roofing companies look so I could file a claim, and both said there was not significant enough damage to file a claim.
