“I cannot recommend Texas State Optical and especially Dr. Yaseen Waqar enough. We have been in previously multiple times for check up and Dr. Waqar is prompt, professional and very kind. Our son had a sport injury below his eye and he did a very thorough exam explaining everything he was doing and putting our nervous son at ease. Today our son got a scratch at school and TSO was able to get us in right away and with Dr. Waqar. Once again he did a full exam and prescribed antibiotics and drops for pain. We are so thankful we went straight to TSO instead of wasting time at an Urgent Care. Highly recommend Dr. Waqar and all of his staff.“

“Dr. Vo is one of the best optometrists in Austin. I've been going to Dr. Vo for contacts and glasses for over twenty years (way before she opened the William Cannon location). She has the latest state of the art equipment for retina scans and everything needed to make sure my eyes are healthy. At this point in my life (mainly due to my dry eyes), I opt to only wear glasses, and she always ensures that my prescription is accurate. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and Carlos is extremely knowledgeable about all the latest types of lenses and clearly explains the differences and calculates prices so I can make an informed decision. “Dr. Alexander is one of the few doctors in ANY PROFESSION in Austin who can't say "no" to walk-ins. If you have an appointment with her and some "emergency" or very urgent walk-in appears while you're in the waiting room, be prepared to take a back seat. This is not to suggest that the status of your own reason is suddenly downgraded. To be able to say that this wonderful PERSON is also a doctor -- among the very tops in her profession -- is to be very lucky. There aren't enough nice things I can say about Dr. Alexander. I feel literally honored to have her as my eye doctor. If you have to wait a little longer for your appointment just consider that she is going to take the same amount of extra time with you when it's your turn rather than rush you to the pay window so that she can hurry in the next feed, or to say, "Be careful what you wish for; you may get it," in which case you might want to look for a less conscientious doctor. There are plenty.“
