Excellent service. The patience, compassion, and overall thoughtfulness of Directors and staff was exactly what we needed when my father passed. It was a seamless worry free process and we are forever grateful that we had Mr. Oscar there to assist. Thank you so much Sir for you most kind words and advice you gave my family and myself!

I can’t say enough about how well we were treated from start to finish while planning and organizing my father’s funeral service. I met several individuals who helped with different aspects of the process, and every one of them provided extraordinary customer service with a compassionate approach to such a sensitive time.
I felt compelled to leave a review because this is truly a beautiful place to honor and pay respects to your dearly beloved. Thank you so much Team at Sunset Memorial, you guys are doing an amazing job.

Had a very, very bad experience with Noe, he changed my husband’s funeral documents without my authorization. He wouldn’t change it back. I was so angry, frustrated, and didn’t do anything about it because I was in so much depression I couldn’t deal with it! Check your contracts because he also charged for a flower van which we didn’t get and this caused anger and complications between both families.

We are very disappointed with the service of Sunset funeral home. My stepfather passed away recently and he was supposed to get cremated at this place. My mother was going to receive his ashes, but unfortunately, when she went to pick up the ashes the following day they had already given the ashes to another relative that had shown little regard for my stepdad in his last moments. This is ridiculous!! How could they have given the ashes to the wrong person? My mother was not even able to give him a proper wake or any service at their church because she didn’t get his ashes!!! No apology from the funeral home! What kind of director and staff is in charge of this funeral home that they couldn’t even keep track of who they were giving the ashes to!?
So if you want your loved ones’ remains to possibly get lost or given to the wrong person, then go right ahead to Sunset funeral homes.

Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Brownsville provided exceptional service during a difficult time. The customer service was outstanding, everyone was compassionate, professional, and attentive to every detail. The chapel was absolutely beautiful and impeccably prepared, creating a peaceful and comforting atmosphere for our family and friends. We truly appreciated the care and respect shown throughout the process. I highly recommend Sunset Memorial Funeral Home for their excellent service and thoughtful attention to every need.

Overall the customer service was decent; fast responder for gatherings information needed. The most unpleasant and very unprofessional experience was when the director Daniel continued to text me in a flirtatious manner after all the arrangements were finalized.

It's a comfortable place for when you need it the most. Excellent Customer service is 100% guaranteed. The viewing areas are beautiful and big for all types of families. They work with our nesecities specifically in the times of pain. ?

It’s pretty lousy that there are only 3 tables in the dining area and no seating in the lobby, only refrigerators filled with overpriced flowers.

If you’re looking for a good honest review, you’re in the right place.Coming from a person who also works in the funeral industry I am observant in others peoples work. Since the beginning of the initial notification of death, Sunset Memorial Funeral Home was quick with a response and arrived within a matter of moments to care for my grandmother after her passing. Shortly after they were quick to finalize the funeral arrangements with Mr. Daniel (Danny) Gomez whom treated my family with respect & dignity, and was there to answer all their questions. The day of the services the staff was attentive, explained everything with detail and was always around when we needed assistance. Those special details are what makes a funeral establishment shine and strive.A special thank you to Mr. Jaime for his help throughout our grieving days. He never left my family’s side and was there for any little thing we needed and his attention to detail was spot on.The Ramos family thanks the staff of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home for their service and care, may God Bless you all!

My mother recently lost her younger brother, my uncle. She was told that at Sunset Memorial they would provide excellent help to families in mourning. My mother had needed necessary paperwork to have him cremated. It wasn’t a pleasant experience, she would call to the office but the person in charge of my uncle wasn’t there that was on a Monday. When Thursday arrived she had her paperwork ready, and the lady told her to sign and then proceeded to say here are your brothers ashes. My mother was hit with shock! She was supposed to see my uncle before he was to be cremated! How can a service do this?! She did not get to see him for the last time.
