“First time in Brownsville, needed a haircut asap. Went to the closest barbershop to my hotel. Young man in the back seated me. I asked for a medium fade, “V” taper in the back, trim on top. In retrospect i could have made myself clearer. After an hour of my sideburns getting blended i asked the barber about the rest of the cut which he seemed to be confused about. Im no barber so i usually trust the professional make the best judgement. But after some back and forth communication it was apparent i wasnt going to get the cut i asked for. At the end of the cut i just accepted it, its just hair it’ll grow back. I paid my tab and left a tip. Just as i closed out, gentleman in the front kindly asked “would you like me to fix it for you?” In relief i responded “please”. He sat me down and only asked about the v-taper. Bro took care of me. Fixed me up and completely restored my confidence in it. Best cut ive had in a while. Its clear to me that the young man in the back is still honing in his craft. No hard feelings whatsoever if im ever in Brownsville again, this is the spot to go.“
