This is a great little place. We stayed here for a night as a little getaway for my birthday. The owners are great. The food was amazing and the conversation flowed into the night. We loved this little small town gem.
Karen and Steve were wonderful hosts The house is decorated so nice and the architecture is true to the time. The house was built in 1888 and Karen is a wonderful cook we had breakfast. She makes it to order and I’m gluten-free so she made gluten-free pancakes and Steve and her both played music while we had breakfast and he plays the violin and she did the washboard. We are blessed to be able to meet this couple. Come join the experience it’ll be a time to remember. Thank you, Karen and Steve.
My husband and I had such a relaxing and wonderful stay at the Carleton House with Karen and Steve. From the delicious gourmet breakfasts to the excellent hospitality of the hosts it ranks one of the top B and B’s we have visited in Texas. A must stay from the history and vintage decor throughout the home. The melt in your mouth homemade cookies that Karen makes to the relaxing guitar and violin music that Steve plays brings a one of a kind experience to this home. We loved our stay! Kevin and Tamara
