14032 Memorial Dr #D, Houston“The classes are well organized, and the training is both fun and meaningful. The environment is positive and encouraging, which makes it a great place for students to learn and grow.
Master Park and Julie not only teach excellent Taekwondo techniques, but they also emphasize important values such as respect and discipline. What I appreciate most is that they encourage students to keep trying even when they fail. They help students develop perseverance and confidence, which is truly valuable both inside and outside the dojang.
Thanks to their guidance and support, my child is growing not only in Taekwondo skills but also as a person. I strongly recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn Taekwondo in a supportive and inspiring environment. It is definitely worth it.“

3340 FM 1092 Rd #120, #120, Missouri City“I joined Rilion Gracie at 60 years old with no previous martial arts experience. My thought was to get a good cardio workout while learning some skills. While it's a little intimidating to start martial arts at my age, a friend encouraged me to join this studio and I am so glad I did! ALL the instructors are top notch! They are very patient and give a lot of individual time to you, even in a full class. I've been a student for 3 months now and I already feel like I'm part of a team.......I can't compare this studio to others as I joined after my first week's free trial because they all made me feel welcomed right away. It's intense and demanding and you go home sore almost after every session, but that is exactly what I was looking for! If you are also, you need to check them out!“

4520 Hwy 6, Sugar Land“Kim's World Taekwondo in Sugar Land has been a transformative experience for my son. Aldhair has an incredible ability to hold the attention of my hyperactive and autistic child, making him feel both comfortable and engaged. My son has truly fallen in love with the sport, and it's heartwarming to see him learn self-defense and discipline in such a supportive environment. The passion and dedication of the instructors shine through in every class, and I feel confident that my child is in great hands. Without a doubt, this is the best taekwondo place in all of Texas!“

The atmosphere is welcoming, and the training is both engaging and effective. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, this school provides a great environment to learn and grow. Highly recommend!“

8600 Hillcroft Ave, Houston“Meyerland Martial Arts has been an incredible experience for my son. He started just over a year ago at age 4 and is now in his second year of training at 5. In that time, I’ve seen him grow in confidence, discipline, and focus—but most importantly, he has so much FUN!
The staff have a wonderful way of connecting with the kids, making sure every student feels respected, seen, and heard. They balance structure with encouragement, taking the art seriously while keeping classes enjoyable and engaging. One of the mottos on the wall says, “Don’t practice until you get it right. Practice until you can’t get it wrong.” I love this mindset and even remind my son of it at home.
I’m truly impressed with the skills he’s learned and how dedicated he is to his training. He looks forward to every class and carries the values of respect, kindness, and self-love beyond the studio. I honestly can’t recommend Meyerland Martial Arts and their amazing staff enough.
As a bonus, we even hosted his birthday party here—and it was phenomenal! My son was thrilled to celebrate in a place he loves, and the staff made it such a smooth, memorable experience. I barely had to lift a finger, not even kidding! If you’re looking for a unique experience, I would recommend inquiring about parties here!! It was a huge success and I was blown away by their efforts to make my son’s special day so exciting.
This is an honest review from a very grateful mom who’s thankful for the positive influence, mentorship, and community at Meyerland Martial Arts. I hope you check them out too!“

1466 Wilcrest Dr, Houston“Our two children attended Master Rick's Taekwondo school for about two years before we had to leave Houston.
The kids were always happy to go to class and were very proud of their progress and achievements.
As parents, we appreciated a perfect blend of technical rigor, friendly atmosphere and transmission of the moral values of Taekwondo.
Master Rick set the bar so high that since we moved, we've been struggling to find a suitable alternative in our new location.
Highly recommend !“

12240 Murphy Rd, Stafford“Our kids have been training here for 4 years, started with no experience, and now one is a Red Belt with a stripe, and is well on his way to being a black belt. My little girl, started fresh out of diapers (3 years old!) and is now an orange belt with a stripe! It's not just about the advancement in levels and continued skill building; for us, it's about the confidence, the passion, the patience, and the encouragement that Master Williams and staff have helped develop in my kids. We will be forever grateful! The kids went from iPad kids, to little Martial Art Pros and we are here for it!“

1740 Jacquelyn Dr, Houston“Been here 40 years ago, Master Kim Soo might not remember me, but long time ago he told our class that he fought Bruce Lee. We didn't believe him at first, but then he showed us a picture of him and Bruce Lee. I believe Bruce Lee was doing a demonstration on him. I just want to tell master Kim Soo thank you.“

8572 Katy Fwy #104, Houston“Our 7-year-old daughter has been attending The Houston Center for Taekwondo for 2.5 years, and it has been an outstanding experience. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive, and attentive to each student’s growth, helping build both physical skills and confidence. Over the years, we’ve seen her progress not only in her taekwondo abilities but also in her self-discipline and focus.
The center fosters a welcoming environment where young students feel motivated and excited to learn. The classes are well-organized, combining technique with valuable life lessons, like respect and perseverance. Watching her thrive and develop a true passion for the sport has been a rewarding journey. We highly recommend The Houston Center for Taekwondo to any family looking for a nurturing and professional martial arts school.“

5625 Beechnut St, Houston“Good people here, the adult class has a mix of people new to Shotokan and those returning after a few years away. Sensei Alex has taught me physical and mental aspects of the sport which I'm still learning, I have developed in self discipline and strength....the classes are also fun! You will feel welcome here.“
7:30 - 9:30AM
5701 Bingle Rd Ste. B-101, Houston“I really enjoy learning aikido here. As an adult woman (mid 40’s) I chose this dojo because there's no children training here, and winning competitions is not the goal. The training mat is top notch for taking the harder falls, and I appreciate the changing rooms so I'm not traveling in my gi.I receive instruction from a wide range of people and ranks, and the years of experience the senior instructors have is hard to find. This is a difficult martial art and I've never felt put down for not being as quick or capable as others.Update (04/04/22): We made it through COVID and remain an active dojo. I still train here and am on track to earn my black belt despite my body trying to break down on me (injury not related to aikido LOL). I've added the SMR Jodo classes and find I really enjoy learning the weapons system in addition to the hands-on aikido system.“

“My 9yo son and 7yo daughter have been training with Coach Pablo for the last 4 years and boy, what transformations they have made. Just to list a few, their self-confidence, PERSEVERANCE , focus, respect, and humility have drastically improved. To brag a bit, they both took home gold at the last IBJJF kids tournament in Houston.I have to say that Coach Pablo loves what he does and he goes above and beyond for the kids. There’s a reason students come from all over Houston and as far away as the Woodlands to train with him.“
