Bunmi did a great job with my hair. My hair was over processed, and had different colors from faded highlights and store bought hair coloring products. She corrected the color and did full foils, it looked very natural and had some dimension, my hair was still healthy and no damage. She’s on the expensive side but when I was there, I’m the only client so I had her full attention, unlike when you go to the big salons, the stylist is taking care of 3 people at the same time.
Great experience overall and I’m going back !

After some internet deep dives and research, I reached out to Bunmi to install hair extensions for this first time wearer. We met for a consult, and I immediately appreciated her energy. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and also realistic about my hair goals and budget. She gave me options with a budget in mind. I decided to go with the Sax & Ro extensions, and Bunmi made the process so comfortable and easy. She also blended my pre-existing bob perfectly and did an amazing color job with deep, rich browns and highlights. Bunmi took her time and was detail oriented. I really appreciated the care she took when executing our shared vision.

I've never done sew in extensions, but I'm so glad I did after Bunmi. The salon she worked out of is gorgeous and matches her amazing personality. She made me feel like the most beautiful person and explained the after care process thoroughly. After having botched extensions from other artists, I can't thank Bunmi enough. She is a gem!!

I just love Bunmi. She helped me take my blonde than was either too orangey or too dark to a bright, whitish blonde. First of all, she is just a delight to talk to. Second, she just aims to please so if you change your mind, she doesn’t judge. If I want to try extensions, cool, if I want them out, cool. If I ask for cooler blonder, done, eh a little too cool now, we’ll change it up. Most importantly, my bleached blonde hair is not damaged anymore. When I came to her I had broken, short orangey blonde. Now my hair has grown so much and looks healthier while still being that blonde I love. Another thing I love about Bunmi is even if you come to her with trashed hair, she doesn’t shame you. She has an attitude of “we’ll get you in the right direction.” Thanks to Bunmi my hair is on the track to long and beautiful.

Bunmi did an amazing job. I asked for something very specific which was the ability to get extensions that matched my hair to wear it curly as well as to be able to have the diversity to wear it straight. She did just that. She would frequently send me samples before my appointment to see if I was OK with them and was very particular in making sure to find the right match for me. I am so happy with the work that she put into it and the final outcome. I love my hair and get so many compliments on the match with my hair, the versatility and the new color that she gave me.

Bunmi is amazing, very experienced in both hair color and cut & style. I reached out to see about getting my hair colored she told me it was going to be $1050 which is way to much for hair in my opinion when I originally looked into this buisness to get my hair done I only looked at the pictures of other clients she had done to see what she can do. After she told me how much it was going to be I looke d at the reviews and I am so glad I did not go because she is rude a disrespectful, she spreads personal information for everyone to see and personally that is not somene who I want to pay for their services1) This is not part of a “smear campaign” against your business. 2) people have jobs and can’t answer the phone 24/7 I probably would of called back once I got off of work where it was a better time for me. 3) $150 per hour when it’s going to take 5-7 hours is over $1000 which is way too much and before you go and try to say that I can’t afford you or I just don’t have money that’s why I’m posting this I’m not I have the money but I’m not paying you $1000 to get my hair dyed 4) yes I went back and read your reviews where I clearly seen you responding Rudely to other clients why would I want to give you my money if that’s how you respond, you clearly posted personal information of that girl that if she wanted on there she would of posted it on there it’s not not false information I’m a straight shooter and I’m just saying it how I see it 5) you can’t message someone and ask them to take their review done because it’s bad, reviews are there so other people know what your buisness is about. I don't know about you all, but when it comes to my hair, it's not an expense, it's an investment. I mean, it is the crown you never take off after all. :)I have been blessed to have a sister who does hair while being in Hawaii. She knew me so well and of course always had my hair on point. Moving to Texas, I was so nervous about one of my investments that I never had to worry about before.I had to really take the time and research who seemed like a good fit for me and the look I tend to stay with. I was able to find Hintz of Color. I booked my appointment, and I am not going to lie, I was nervous as heck!I like her booking system, so easy to use. Deposit was put for my appointment. For those of you who complain about that, let me just say...appointments are their lively hood, their business, the feeding of their families. If you no show or cancel last minute, the stylist could of had someone else in that spot, potentially losing 100's of $$ at no fault of theirs. So, be courteous and respect this. As a patron, it's important to also think of businesses as if they were your own.Now, enough about that little rant of mine lolSo Bunmi's salon is actually far from me. I drive 40 minutes, but remember, investment! :)The salon is upstairs in a shopping center on Bellaire Ave. It is located in the "Phenix Salon Suites." She has her own room and the vibe is there! Ok, so what the room is nice...? We'll, she got the personality and skills to back it up! She was amazing at my first appointment. Made me feel so at ease. She listened as I explained what I wanted and tend to do. She was honest, respectful, and most importantly down to earth! My hair turnout, AMAZING! She achieves the look while keeping my hair healthy! I was so thankful and blessed to meet Bunmi. She is my sister here in the HTX! I highly recommend her and can't say enough positive things about her and her work! I’ve been going to Bunmi for my haircuts since moving to Houston in 2014. She not only gives a great cut, but has become a close friend. Very professional, personable and great at what she does!
